Drawing close to seasons end, I photographed with a seldom seen photographer yesterday and came across this little piece of paradise. What remains are only pockets of a reminder, but easily remembered for its’ colorful foliage.

The woods are lovely dark and deep in Connecticut.

I saw this yesterday in the neighbours' yard and trialed my "new" Helios out on it...when I went past again this morning it was shriveled and brown, and I realised I finally had my shot for this weeks theme...:)

My apologies for being so far behind in keeping up with all your wonderful images...I've been away and just busy...shall do my best to catch up over the next few days.

Haven't done a flower pic. for a while.This was dry and brittle.

... the echo of a song, a half-remembered face, the smell of the rose, a faded photo - and then they're gone again, until the next time.

Light and shade in the valley.

There was some weird fleeting light over this fishing fleet in Apollo Bay. Taken on an outing with the FFF+ group back in June.

Caught this scene on the way to work, the sky went from just pink tinged clouds to this and then just as quickly washed out. I took some more photos at a more picturesque location but the sky show is greatly diminished by then, posted below.

I was working in the garden today watching the most fantastic clouds streaming over, very frustrating. When I finally got down to the coast at 5 , all the clouds had nearly gone, so this last fleeting one, ensures Fleeting one, by First Aid Kit is the track choice. No one on the beach !

This was made on the same morning as my previous image. It was a rare good morning among a long run of dull mornings, so when the chance came I was out the door and down to my local canal. I made this composition with my 100-400mm lens, which is a dream to use compared with my old 75-300. The older lens was lighter and easier to carry, but there is a clarity about the bigger lens that makes image making more simple. After making this image I walked across to the Weirfield where the mist was thicker and that provided further possibilities.

The clouds crept along rapidly as the sun went down so the glow above the cloud was only there for a short few moments. I like this image as it is very simple and minimalistic, I was aware that the sand I was on was somewhat soft as I found myself slowly sinking during the length of my exposure but I think the sharpness is acceptable under the circumstances .

I just want to say thank you to everyone for your kind support and lovely comments and faves on my work this past year, may I take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy christmas and a happy and healthy new year .

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

For once I had the camera with me when the extraordinary happened.

Monty and I were having a quick wander on the Malvern Hills despite heavy low cloud and not being able to see a hand in front of our face. As we approached the top of Worcestershire Beacon a small gap appeared in the cloud and we were momentarily flooded with golden light. I quickly grabbed a couple of shots, and then it was gone, plunged back into heavy dark damp mist. Fleeting moments like that can make wandering in the hills of these islands a truly magical experience.

Apologies to earlier viewers, I decided to crop it to emphasise the people a little more, and to give the image more of a Landscape feel. Hope you agree.
