We didn't get much of a sky, but oh what a sight. I believe that this was a Saturday and the moon was to be full on Wednesday, close enough for someone who lives in Tacoma! :-)

My hard drive went China Syndrome at 6:47:05 Sunday November the 22nd of an apparent photo overload. A brief ceremony was held and then off to the fixit shop where everyday the guy said tomorrow...... and stuff like "what's a DNG file...."
From the Monroe St Bridge Best if viewed large. I would guess it is running at 1/3 of what it will be later on in spring. A story: I sent my D810 to the hospital (Nikon fixit shop somewhere in the cosmos) because the viewer would only work sporadically . Got it back today and Nikon said there was nothing wrong with the camera. I was steaming !! Took it out tonight, hooked up my remote and started shooting the falls. Same thing, viewer worked even less than sporadically ! I was steamier !! On the way home I thought, "Wonder if that remote is causing the problem"?
YUP Took the remote off and the camera works perfectly. SORRY NIKON !! LOL

DESCRIPTION DE L'OEUVRE
Posée sur la rive, l’œuvre évoque les énormes figures de l’île de Pâques. Il s’agit d’une immense tête fragmentée en trois parties, d’un visage de femme au sourire à la Mona Lisa. Son unique œil fixe le lointain et affiche une pupille creusée, un détail qui rappelle la statuaire gréco-romaine.
Tout comme les vestiges trouvés dans les fouilles archéologiques, ce visage est composé de fragments que l’observateur doit compléter mentalement s’il veut reconstituer l’ensemble du portrait. Outre son grand format, l’impact de cette sculpture résulte paradoxalement de ses parties absentes qui laissent apparaître le paysage environnant. Les couleurs changeantes de la nature s’opposent par ailleurs à la blancheur du visage et à sa fixité.
