Gaye Su Akyol from Turkey played a sold out Alice last week for a hungry (part Turkish) crowd. But charming Luna Ersahin also blew me away with both her voice and charm.

science fiction and symbolism ▪️
Creating art and photography for my masters study in Media, art and design. Looking potential pictures that symbolise science fiction in the everyday.
Photo of final spread from time-lapse painting in my art journal. Testing my traveler’s notebook-style journal paper with acrylic paint for the first time. I’m surprised the paper held up so well, as it’s very thin, although I didn’t use water. #artbyshantadevi #artjournal #art #artjournaling #paint #painting #abstract #acrylicpaint #paintnovember #artjournaleveryday #sketchbook #travelersnotebook #blackartist #femaleartist #timelapsevideo #timelapsepainting

Despite revealing her deepest and darkest experiences in her songs, there is something quite mystical about A'mari: amari.band
I saw Norwegian artist Dagny twice this summer, and she really impressed me. She has the voice, stage presence, move, charm and show to captivate an audience to get them going.
She's great fun to shoot as well.

The second exhibition for my May series on Oxford Artweeks is Jill Green's "One Unholy Journey". For this Jill transformed the ground floor of her suburban house into an art installation based on 12 years work for peace in Palestine.
Shown here is one of a pair of vitrines called "Doveworks 2011" containing dove silhouettes cut out of Arabic and Hebrew newsprint representing the then 84 Peace NGOs in the region.
