The Santa Maria Hotel stands on a corner of the plaza in the delightful village. It is the only place to stay for the very few tourists who come here. The five rooms are basic. There is a courtyard garden and a restaurant in a prettily decorated room but the food is ordered in advance and delivered by a local family. The hotel serves a decent cold breakfast. Prices are absurdly low.

Chouara tannery still operates as it did a thousand years ago. (2009)
A typical Adobe building in New Mexico, USA. A tall one too ! I've taken out all the rich pink-orange colour of the walls and the deep blue of the sky to concentrate on the architectural lines and textures here. ( Perhaps I'll put the original in the Colour Album ? )

Un bâtiment Adobe typique du Nouveau Mexique, USA. Un grand bâtiment en plus ! J'ai enlevé toute la riche couleur rose-orange des murs et le bleu profond du ciel pour me concentrer sur les lignes architecturales et les textures. ( Je mettrai peut-être la photo couleur dans l'album couleur ? )
Showara is the most important Tannery of Fes, it’s divided in 2 areas, the white tanks area used for cleaning of rough leather by ammonia and the coloured tanks area used to the 4-days process of leather painting. From Monday to Saturday people work inside the tanks (I shoot these pictures on Thursday)
Santa Fe train station reminding you to be safe. At the end of Main St. I've seen photos of this sign with the neon lights on.
