Santa Fe GP35 #3302 in the "pin-stripe" scheme heads Westbound on the point of an Intermodal train at Verdemont on Cajon Pass in November of 1983. It is passing an Eastbound train that includes class engine, U36C #8700 in the consist.
I only have four action shots of Santa Fe engines in this early paint scheme and 3 of them are of the 3302!
Santa Fe GP40X #3809 heads Eastbound with a manifest train through the town of Tehachapi in January of 1987.
Santa Fe blue and gold switching into Saint Paul Yard at Newport. I shot this set over a month later during much different weather.

Camps Bay, South Africa.
I revisited one of my favorite places, Santa Fe, for several days this past week. It was a treat to see the Christmas decorations, and to have the parks and trails accessible (my last trip was taken during the government shutdown, when all were closed.)
The buildings in the town were outlined with luminaria, or “farolitas” to the locals. Though these are electric versions of the paper bag lanterns traditionally containing candles placed in sand, there were many hand-lit versions to be found along walkways and paths.
At night the lights were magical. I have a lot of photos to review, and a lot of catching up to do...I’ll be around soon! :-)

The KCT brings a train of mostly mill gons from KCS through Santa Fe Junction on their way back to Mill Street Yard. Both of these engines are former D&H GP39-2s.
Fabriquées et peintes par Maïa avec un de ses cadeaux de Noël. Une jolie occupation qui mélange pas mal de savoirs-faire: la bonne recette eau et plâtre avec le bon temps de séchage pour poser l'aimant. Et ensuite, la bonne utilisation des couleurs avec les bonnes associations, l'imaginaire également. Facile à renouveler pour les produits de base, facile à offrir aux copines, c'est une activité créative qui fait la joie de Maïa.

Built in the 14th century, it is one of the largest and oldest in Morocco.
One saddles seven doors of different sizes, representing the seven days of the week and the seven levels of the monarchy.
