Fabriquées et peintes par Maïa avec un de ses cadeaux de Noël. Une jolie occupation qui mélange pas mal de savoirs-faire: la bonne recette eau et plâtre avec le bon temps de séchage pour poser l'aimant. Et ensuite, la bonne utilisation des couleurs avec les bonnes associations, l'imaginaire également. Facile à renouveler pour les produits de base, facile à offrir aux copines, c'est une activité créative qui fait la joie de Maïa.

Another shot from my rainy Sunday adventure with the surprise Housatonic south end run. Due to a bridge replacement project and track work near Great Barrington the northern half of the Housatonic Railroad mainline was OOS for the weekend so instead of the normal trip north to Pittsfield a rare run south was made. After working SPEM in the morning like usual train NX-12 headed south light engine nearly 40 miles to pick up 18 cars to return north to Canaan.
Here they are seen curling along beside Housatonic Avenue near MP 12.3 on the former New Haven Berkshire Line main in Boardman's Bridge. The empty field at left was once the site of the huge 325,000 square foot Century Brass factory that was an important NH, PC, and CR customer from 1959 until 1986. The giant building sat vacant for over 30 years until finally being taken down on 2017. Right about here was where the lead was into the multiple tracks serving the factory and after 1974 trains traveled no further than about this point until the modern day Housatonic reopened the State owned route in 1989.
The two units on the train this day were GMTX GP38-2 2328 (blt in Feb 1966 as Illinois Central GP40 number 3011) and HRRC GP7u 22 still wearing Bangor & Aroostook paint despite having passed from BAR, to MMA, before coming to the Housatonic around 2014 in the MMA's bankruptcy asset sale. It was built for the Santa Fe in Feb. 1952 and originally wore black tiger stripes when delivered as #2722.

Place Seffarine, la "place des dinandiers". Les dinandiers sont des artisans qui travaillent, façonnent, le cuivre et le laiton. Sur la place ce sont plus spécifiquement des chaudronniers qui fabriquent des récipients en cuivre ou dans d'autres métaux
I just completed a week long workshop with the well know and influential photographer, Jay Maisel. It was a wonderful educational experience and I'm sure I will never photograph the same again.
During the workshop, "Light, Color, and Gesture", Jay had several rules for us such as no photoshop or manipulation of the images we took in anyway. We were also to try to photograph people. These were challenging for me, someone who concentrates on landscapes and rarely photographs people!
The above image was one of the few landscape images I took during the workshop and of course I followed Jay's rules with no hdr or photoshop.

The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway was often referred to as the Santa Fe or AT&SF and it was one of the larger railroads in the United States. The railway started in February 1859 and it ended in 1996 and becoming BNSF in a corporate merger

I am very happy with my new lens, the Nikkor 20, which combines very well with my Nikon FE. The depth of field is so big that focusing is not needed in most of the shots.

Cuando él pudo escuchar Mi voz, la voz de Jehová, y ver Mi gloria, la gloria de Jehová, fue gracias a su fe. Que Pedro haya podido seguir a Jesucristo, fue debido a su fe. Que pudiera ser clavado en la cruz por Mí y dar testimonio glorioso de Mí, también fue debido a su fe. Cuando Juan vio la imagen gloriosa del Hijo del hombre, fue debido a su fe. Cuando vio la visión de los últimos días, fue, aún más, a causa de su fe. La razón por la que las así llamadas ‘multitudes de las naciones gentiles’ han obtenido Mi revelación y han llegado a tener conocimiento de que Yo he regresado en la carne para llevar a cabo Mi obra entre los hombres, también es a causa de su fe. ¿Acaso todos los que son golpeados por Mis severas palabras —y que, sin embargo, encuentran en ellas consuelo y son salvados— no lo han hecho por causa de su fe?”.
“Sólo podrás ver a Dios desde el interior de tu fe. Cuando tengas fe, Dios te perfeccionará. Sin fe, Él no puede hacerlo. Dios te concederá cualquier cosa que esperes obtener. Si no tienes fe, Dios no puede perfeccionarte y serás incapaz de ver Sus acciones, y menos aún Su omnipotencia. Cuando tengas una fe con la que puedas ver Sus acciones en tu experiencia práctica, entonces Dios aparecerá ante ti, y te esclarecerá y te guiará desde dentro. Sin esa fe, Dios no podrá hacer esto. Si has perdido la esperanza en Dios, ¿cómo podrás experimentar Su obra? Por tanto, sólo cuando tengas fe y no albergues dudas hacia Dios, cuando tu fe en Él sea verdadera, haga lo que haga, Él te esclarecerá e iluminará en tus experiencias, y sólo entonces podrás ver Sus acciones. Todas estas cosas se consiguen por medio de la fe. La fe sólo llega mediante el refinamiento, y en ausencia de refinamiento, la fe no puede desarrollarse. ¿A qué se refiere la fe? La fe es la creencia genuina y el corazón sincero que los humanos deberían poseer cuando no pueden ver ni tocar algo, cuando la obra de Dios no está en línea con las nociones humanas, cuando está más allá del alcance humano. Esta es la fe de la que hablo”.
