I had to ask for this specially since they don't list a meatless beef noodle soup for some reason (other Ding Tai Fengs do). The regular one with meat is $6. I don't like meat in my beef noodle soups because beef noodle soups aren't about the meat, it's about the soup. The meat (theoretically) have given all their essence to the soup so it's not necessary to eat their tired remains. I like to concentrate on the noodles and the soup.

Self Service Gas Station

Former site of Exxon Gas Station, which has gone through a series of owners. After Exxon left the Southern California area, the station eventually became a Texaco Gasoline Station. It was at this point that the original main building went from the traditional 1970s design to its current box design. After the split up of the Shell Texaco Marketing alliance due to CHEVRON buying Texaco, this station eventually converted to a CHEVRON Station with a convenience store, however it went out of business somewhere between 2007/2008. These photos were taken on 12/27/2008 for the Grand Reopening of the CHEVRON with a new convenience store name West Coast Customs at 11261 Santa Monica Blvd.

Located on Santa Monica Blvd. near Sawtelle next to the 405 Freeway. Southern California.

Bad user interface design could be everywhere, even on a gas pump. What should you press to select gas with 89 of Octane?

The big yellow sign is just a sign... the real button is the red "Push to Start"

Have you already encountered this type of pump? Have you hit the 89?

A dead American Coot covered in oil lies among leaves and branches near the Bell Slough Wildlife Management Area near Mayflower, Arkansas April 2, 2013. Exxon's Pegasus pipeline, which can carry more than 90,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude from Patoka, Illinois to Nederland, Texas, was shut down March 29, 2013 after a leak was discovered late in a subdivision near the town of Mayflower, Arkansas. The leak forced the evacuation of 22 homes. Exxon had no specific estimate of how much crude oil had spilled, but the company said 12,000 barrels of oil and water had been recovered. The company did not say how much of the total was oil and how much was water. Greenpeace Photo by Courtney Dunn
