The Greenpeace Thermal Airship A.E. Bates flies over the Dallas, Texas area as part of a campaign confronting Exxon before its upcoming shareholder meeting on May 31st. The annual shareholder meeting in Texas is the perfect opportunity to hold the company accountable for its harmful endeavor of an oil state and oil diplomacy.
This sign was, at one time, located on Route 95 North between Baltimore and the Deleware border. This is from an old 35mm slide that I took in approximately 1973-74. I was dismayed at the time, and still am today, in the fact that and entire swath of trees were taken (probably 500 feet or more from the side of the road) in order that Exxon could advertise to the travelling public on the Route 95 corridor. I have no idea as to whether the sign is still there....
