These three images show the effect of changing light colours at sunrise. You are only aware that there will be a coloured highlight but it cannot be seen by the eye as it is an instantaneous flash of light as the wave breaks.

It is too bad that the drummer, Jeremy Burton, for Mudmen was way in the back because he was so expressive. Often the colour from the lights makes night concert photography interesting, but it was distracting in this case so I converted the photo.

INDIEN, Khajuraho (Temple )

Most Khajuraho temples were built between 950 and 1050 by the Chandela dynasty. Historical records note that the Khajuraho temple site had 85 temples by 12th century, spread over 20 square kilometers. Of these, only about 20 temples have survived, spread over 6 square kilometers. Of the various surviving temples, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is decorated with a profusion of sculptures with intricate details, symbolism and expressiveness of ancient Indian art

The Khajuraho temples feature a variety of art work, of which 10% is sexual or erotic art outside and inside the temples. Some of the temples that have two layers of walls have small erotic carvings on the outside of the inner wall. Some scholars suggest these to be tantric sexual practices.] Other scholars state that the erotic arts are part of Hindu tradition of treating kama as an essential and proper part of human life, and its symbolic or explicit display is common in Hindu temples. James McConnachie, in his history of the Kamasutra, describes the sexual-themed Khajuraho sculptures as "the apogee of erotic art":

it occurred to me today that I have yet to post any image to flickr straight out of the camera! i decided this was a good enough reason to take a break from studying and snap a selfie in my apartment window :)

so, here i am, unedited and without make up (with the exception of yesterday's mascara i was too lazy to wash off). the only thing i did in photoshop was resize the image to save space in my monthly limit.

These paintings express a personal need to delineate images and fantasies abundant with color and emotional explosion. Signs, lines and the materials appear of their own volition

and develop as an external language bridging the eye, the hand and the painted surface.During the making of a painting the power of the shapes emanate from an unconscious

and concealed inner dimension.

Line by line, painting after painting while repeating shapes and patterns, a creation evolves into new shapes and patterns. With a determination that reaches obsession, Mirit

Ben-Nun keeps on returning to her art of meticulousdecoration. A strong presence of primitive ornamentation provides the artwork with a tribal facet on one hand and a feminine touch on the other, encompassing embroidery, bead threading and weaving among others. Ben- Nun’s beautifying urge carries within it an archetypal strata, mythic at times, which empowers her authentic expression.

New York-born artist Stephen Palladino creates work combining raw, expressive mark making with tight and clean lines. Building upon his childhood obsession with cartoons and graffiti, Palladino creates characters that are slick and gritty, dark and lowbrow, mashed up with hidden layers of popular imagery and dialogue. Commissioned by Lady Gaga, Absolut Vodka, Reebok, and others, Palladino is currently based in Los Angeles and presented his first solo gallery show there in 2015.

Handmade alternative process lumen print on Ilford Fiber Base Warmtone paper.

With lumens, often I like to leave the splashes of color on the background (made by Nature) because they are so painterly.

Very much inspired by Brett Walker.

Background to the image:

I was walking around the very old part of Kathmandu well out of the main city area between two narrow alleys and heard these two giggling away above me having a great ol' time. They both had a huge big smiles - who could resist the shot. (single shot taken)

After all the years I have photographed flowers, and especially Tulips.

Started to read them.

Saw their emotions.

With my imagination easy peasy.

I even seem to humanize some!

They can be sad, happy, surprised... you name it, just like people.

Please, forgive the artist in me and just enjoy with a smile? LOLOLOL.

Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)
