In my way back to the office after lunch I saw this Writing on the Frozen Water Surface "to Break the Ice" (but not Literally). Interesting the fisherman just next al setup with his fishing hole.

SPJ based WDM-3D loco - 11272 is pulling into platform - 05 at Samastipur (SPJ) yard with Howrah (HWH) bound 15236 (Darbhanga-Howrah) Maithili Weekly Express at its tow !! Yet , the name of this train - "MAITHILI" - is un-official and not announced in any ER based stations !! This is one of my favourite trains !!
5029 Nunney Castle and 47812 with the 1Z27 Torbay Express from Bristol Temple Meads to Kingswear with the partial steam ban still in place the 47 was doing all the work at this point.

2.8.2014. West Coast Railways Class 37 No 37706 brings up the rear (t/t with 47237) of the 'Cathedrals Express' (London King's Cross - Scarborough - London King's Cross). Seen here at Causeway Lane, near Retford.
With no required E400’s in prospect at Acle I decided to take B9 37275 back to Norwich, also on the X1.
I was keen to get back in order to have my last Trident of the day, and also this B9 gains points as being of London interest as it was new to Bracknell for the ‘Green Line’ 702 to Victoria. In fact I secured a table of four to myself on the lower deck! 1.11.22
