This turned out to be my last shot of the Milky Way at the Grand Canyon that I took. When I saw the extra bright shooting star and it explode while taking this 30 second exposure, I figured it could not get any better than this.
One in a trillion shot I think that it also was in the focal point perfectly for this capture.
Needless to say I had a big grin on my face when I returned to our cabin there on the north rim. Ms. Krach as usual was not that impressed ;)
Waterlilies start to get large and beautiful after the third round of blooms, they never stop producing till the beginning of fall when the weather cools off,

Our Lilly Pilly Tree is in flower.
An early and quick post and run today. It will probably be this evening or tomorrow morning before I can get to view everyone's images.

Though seemingly destitute, abandoned buildings are bursting at the seams with stories of the past. This building's entire roof was removed by a tornado, back in the 1980's.

🎶 JASON MRAZ - BEFORE IT ALL ENDS
It hasn't rained in a hundred days
But the waters still rising in other ways
The world may soon be going down the drain
I just want more time with my baby before it all ends
Yesterday was hot but it was hotter today
I hope tomorrow we can still go out and play
Yeah, the world may soon be going up in flames
I just want more time with my baby before it all ends
Before it all ends
Because a meteor came crashing on our beds
Before it all ends
Because our presidents threw nuclear warheads
Before it all ends
Because the world wide web done swallowed all my friends
I just want more time with my baby before it all ends
Of all that's been not much remains
Yeah the only constant thing is change (constant change)
The world may soon be going down the commode
I just want more time with my baby before we explode
Before it all ends
Because the earth is flat and we all went over the edge
Before it all ends
Because we all got anal probed by aliens
Before it all ends
Because everyone thought that dollars made more sense
I just want more time with my baby before it all ends
Yeah, I just want more time with my baby before it all ends
This is not a joke
I just want more time with my baby before it all ends
Theme: Natural White #SmileonSaturday
I've seen a lot of Flickr friends post in the 'Smile on Saturday' group so I thought I'd join in on the fun. This was taken in my garden using an extension tube on an old Pentacon 50mm lens. I don't know why but the first thing that came to mind when I saw it on my computer was the monster in the Alien films - all those teeth ready to explode out of that flower head!

In spring it feels like the "decicive moment" applies as much to nature photography as to anything else. The conditions for this image would only exist for one day this year I think. The next day it was sunny again and then the leaves will take over completely.
Thank you for 'clicking' for a closer look. On the 4th of July, I felt my Photostream needed a splash of color. This flower was growing at Hollis Gardens in Lakeland, Florida. I do not know its name.
This evening I went before the announced thunderstorm came. This is the exploding sky I was waiting for during blue hour. Strong wind and rain (from back) was part of the scene.

A burst of colors in the early morning sky over the beautiful Caherconree scenic route in Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland.
Flying fish may be fairly common but they are extremely fast and explode out of the water like a missile glide or skim over the water for a bit and in a wink they are gone. I have only been able to see then a few times. This one left a trail from a bouncy sea entrance. We saw this one along with many others on a blustery day in the Atlantic Ocean about 10º N latitude south of Cape Verde.
Magnify to see it better..
