This homeless (??) man was quietly sitting near a statue in the city centre of Antwerp, a city in Belgium. The peculiarities of his clothes, his very being made me seek him out and make contact with him.I talked for several minutes with this apparently Dutch man, gave hime some of my Marlboro's in exchange for a couple of pics.

The man appeared vaguely familiar and later I knew why ; There had once been a portrait of this very man on national television in some documentary about homeless or poor people and the fact that he was a Dutch person living in antwerp and that he had had psychological problems made him stick out.

The man began his sentences in an eloquent way but abruptly changed the subject somewhere mid sentence. He would talk about literature and photography but halfway through the discours, he would forget what he had just said...

It's been a really tough day for me so far. I'm so stressed out and I feel like I just want to to sleep peacefully, and wake up when I'm ready to be super happy again. My brain hurts, I'm confused, I'm strained, weared out; all of the above. I would have went on a little photo-shoot or something to calm myself and boost up my mood, but I'm limited due to me being grounded, so I searched for a picture to upload of mine instead. This really isn't the best shot, but I like the position and angle of the camera, the lighting and my pose. I'm not sure about the eyes, they're obviously edited lol but Idk if it goes with the picture or not. Dueces.

Death, my advice to you is avoid it at all cost!

This teenager is waiting for the life he expects. He sits in a jerry that children use to collect water or play games in the camp, but he is no longer a boy, he’s too big for the jerry can. He has become too old while waiting for a new life, for a new solution. Refugees are always waiting – waiting for rations, waiting for help from agencies, waiting for documents, waiting for resettlement. He is a refugee with nothing behind him. All he has is what is in front of him.

Each day, 150 refugees arrive to one of the four northern Ethiopian camps. They are provided with crucial services – healthcare, basic education, food and housing. However, opportunities for dignified, durable solutions – resettlement, return home or integration within Ethiopia – are impossible for most.

In 1954 a group of enthusiastic, imaginative children gathered together eager to learn. By 8:05 they realized that their teacher was part of a conspiracy to turn them into worker bees for the military industrial complex. Her name was Mrs. Weamers and she went by the book. Children in her class would do as they were told or else she would "Jump down your throat and dance on your liver" as she was fond of saying. We survived. We did more than that. After all, we were the generation who would grow up to defy the establishment in the 60's and change everything. We had Great Expectations.

Alright, so we know Gordon Ramsay's got a mouth. It's a staple in all of his shows. And it's a big reason why TV producers went after him to do reality shows. It started with 'Kitchen Nightmares,' then 'Hell's Kitchen,' and now his latest - 'The F-Word.' By the way, the F... it stands for Food. So, how did Gordon get to this point? Well, he was born in Scotland and raised in England's government housing. His dad was an abusive, hard drinker, with big expectations. And he pushed his son to go for a career in football with the Glasgow Rangers. But Gordon hurt his knee and the dream was over. So instead, he pursued his passion for cooking... As you might expect, his dad didn't approve. But that just drove Gordon even harder - some say too hard. Either way, he built an empire. We're talking two dozen restaurants around the world, with more than a thousand employees. And he's cooked privately for everyone from Pierce Brosnan, to David Beckham, to Vladmir Putin. But staying on top can be tough, and last year, Gordon took a beating. A couple of his flagship restaurants were knocked out of first place on food guides. Critics were harsh. In spite of it all, the multiple star Michelin chef is still going strong. He's just launched a new book 'Gordon Ramsay's Fast Food.'

My expectations weren't too high in finding any new and interesting diecasts on my Easter weekend trip to Norfolk and in the main it was just as I was expecting......generic HTI products in nearly every souvenir shop I visited with a smattering of Hot Wheels. Thankfully a delightful discount store called Lathams had a small toy section which had a few of these impressive little articulated trucks scattered amongst the HTI crap and pegs full of Gran Turismo Hot Wheels.

Made by a Chinese toy company called T.NA it is as realistic as you are probably going to get for this scale and unlicensed price point and its Mercedes-Benz Actros styling shines through bright and clear thanks to a higher than expected amount of detailing and a genuinely well sculptured cab. Imported by a Wakefield based toy company i'm saddened that I've yet to spot any in my area. Mint and boxed.

This is a photograph from the 35th Michael Manning Memorial "Dunshaughlin 10KM" Road Race and Fun Run which took place in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, Ireland on Saturday 21st June 2014 at 19:30. This race is widely acknowledged in the running community as one of the best races in Ireland. It is also one of the oldest 10KM races in Ireland. The numbers for this race have exceeded expectations year on year for the past number of years. In 2008 a record field of 306 took to the start line but by 2012 this number had more than doubled with 647 runners taking part. The starting numbers in 2013 topped this again at 668. Then this year the numbers rocketed to a new record of 883. Who knows but this race could reach 1,000 entrants next year. The work of the organising committee must be commended on making this event possible. The Dunshaughlin 10KM has earned it's place at the top of the pedestal of Irish running through the sheer hard work of Dunshaughlin AC over the years. Well done to all.

We have an extensive set of photographs from the race tonight taken at the 1 mile mark and then at the 400M and 600M to go mark. The full set is available at: www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157645329098733/

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs

We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?

The explaination is very simple.

Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.

ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.

Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

I hope everyone is aware that they did this same concept in 500 Days of Summer.

I've always liked it and wanted to try it by taking two quick snapshots that are nothing special with only different facial expressions.

For further explanation:

The top photo is of me smiling because it is simply expected and desired, but in reality, the bottom photo of me with a blank facial expression is how I truly feel.
