I decided to tie my expectations picture into the male gaze picture .. kind of. The explination for this photo is simple ... ever heard of the third date rule?
These were responses to Frontier fates that student had to answer very quickly. Time was allotted for group discussion and decision making and then as a group they were to write a paragraph about what they chose to do and why they made that decision. This paragraph met me expectations because it is a paragraph in length and they answered the question of what they chose and why they chose it.
People who have an intelligent appearance will not be outstanding even if they do something good, and if they do something normal, people will think them lacking.

Students created 'Lost Dog' posters, working on descriptive writing. Students were given criteria that they had to meet including things like a minimum of 5 sentences, the name and description of your dog, what someone should do if they are to find the dog, etc. This is Student 16's work.

69. 1/8 "Create A Mood"
I was hesitant to upload this photo of a very poorly trained pup lol - I'll excuse his lack of training to him still being in the 'experimental phase' - he's trying lots of things to see whether it's OK....if it's not he'll give it another go just to make sure....and then often another go - apparently to make sure he really understands hehe. Although this was his first Christmas with us and his first time spent with 5 other dogs at the same time his 'give it a go' and 'another go' and 'ANOTHER go' attitude has endeared him to be quite popular and tolerated among the others.....each and every one of them accepted his play advances and even his taking the prized ball from their mouths!
Anyway, the mood Russ has created here is that of 'Expectation' - he helped himself to an empty chair and sat there like he was expecting HIS wine glass to be refilled......at this exact moment he's watching inside though, with the expectation that Bobby (the senior of them all) may just get into trouble for opening the screen door and letting himself inside (he'd decided it was time for bed, dear old thing!) because the last time Russ did that he was wet and sandy and poking around inside made lots of people say 'OUT' at the same time - quite exciting for a youngster ;)
