Or not so secretive waterfall.
Expectations werent high, with the dry weather we werent sure if any water would be falling anywhere, but our fears were abated. The Glamis waterfall and surrounding walk is very picturesque.
This was my second Keystone Conference (2022 was my first) so I fairly knew what to expect and that I would not be disappointed. The new venue offered a better location with many interesting places within walking distance; either for taking amazing photos or have a nice lunch or dinner. However, regardless of the venue, what most of us appreciate about a big conference like this, is getting to meet with old friends and make new ones. In my case, I also treasure the fact that it is the one time a year that I can be Cristy, and for a whole week!
At first, days seem to go by slowly but after Wednesday, time simply flies by, and one loses track of how many hugs have been given and photos have been taken! Thank God for photos, which capture moments that, otherwise, would be lost in an endless flow of continuous emotions and smiling faces.
Having been out on the Internet since 2004, I thought that my service to the community was done. After all, everything seems so easy and simple now, and every possible topic covered. I was pleasantly surprised to have many girls approach me to, in one way or another, thank me for what I had sheared over the years. Meeting online friends in person is always rewarding and even more so when they look so well put together and mention that you had some influence in their development and self-acceptance!
My deepest gratitude goes to those who took the time to come talk to me and shared such inspiring comments with me; you gave me renewed energy to find the time to continue to do my best to portray a positive image and, most of all, share my thoughts on the couple of social networks I am on. I consider myself very approachable and never a pretentious person so, never have second thoughts about saying hi if you see me in my yearly coming out of hibernation, or writing a message to ask any question you’d like to ask me. Like most of us, I do like compliments but most of all, like to feel useful and help within the limits of my knowledge and experience in the art of feminine illusion. I may only acknowledge a complimentary comment but will always respond a message asking a question.
Photos with friends are coming soon and will likely be accompanied by a short narrative that I deem relevant to the images but, for now, I needed to share this with all of you. Love you all!
This is one of the first photos I took, to see how my new wig looked from behind. I think it represents the new expectations we face before coming out of the room for the first time in a long time.

Esta fue mi segunda conferencia Keystone (2022 fue la primera) así que sabía lo que me esperaba y que no me defraudaría. El nuevo hotel ofreció una mejor ubicación con muchos lugares interesantes a distancias caminables; ya fuera para tomar fotos o para comer bien. Sin embargo, independientemente del lugar, lo que la mayoría apreciamos de una conferencia grande como esta, es el poder encontrarse con viejas amistades y hacer nuevas. En mi caso, también atesoro el hecho de que es mi única oportunidad al año de ser Cristy, ¡y por toda una semana!
En un inicio los días pasan despacio, pero a partir del miércoles, ¡el tiempo simplemente vuelay una pierde la noción de cuántos abrazos se han dado y cuántas fotos se han tomado! Gracias a Dios por las fotos que capturan momentos que, de otra manera, se perderían en el flujo constante de emociones y caras sonrientes.
Como participante activa en Internet desde 2004, pensé que mi servicio a la comunidad había terminado. Después de todo, todo parece más fácil hoy y cada tema ha sido cubierto. Me sorprendió de manera muy agradable que muchas chicas se me acercaron con el propósito de agradecer, de una u otra manera, lo que había compartido a través de los años. ¡Conocer amigas virtuales en persona es siempre gratificante y más aún cuando lucen muy bien y mencionan que tú tuviste algo que ver con su evolución y autoaceptación!
Gracias desde el fondo de mi corazón a quienes se tomaron el tiempo de acercarse a conversar y compartir esos comentarios tan motivantes; renovaron mis energías para buscar el tiempo y seguir compartiendo mis pensamientos y proyectando una imagen positiva en las pocas redes en las que estoy. Siempre me he considerado una persona muy accesible y jamás pretenciosa así que no duden en saludarme cuando me vean en mi salida anual de hibernación, o de escribirme un mensaje para preguntar algo. Como la mayoría de nosotras, me gustan los cumplidos, pero más que nada, me gusta sentirme útil y ayudar dentro de las limitaciones de mi experiencia y conocimiento en el arte de la ilusión femenina. Puede que solo de señal de haber visto un cumplido, pero siempre responderé a un mensaje con una pregunta.
Ya vendrán las fotos con amigas y seguramente acompañadas de alguna historia relevante, pero, por ahora, necesitaba compartir esto con ustedes. ¡Les quiero mucho!
Esta es una de las primeras fotos que tomé para ver cómo se vela la nueva peluca por atrás. Sin embargo, representa las nuevas expectativas que todas tenemos antes de salir de la habitación por primera vez en mucho tiempo.

Christmas time is the time of hopes and expectations. Cleo is hoping for lots of presents, preferably eatable presents, of course. As she can't write a wish list she is working on transmitting her wishes telepathically.
Cleo only agreed to pose for this Christmas picture under the condition that I respect her dignity and won't do anything "stupid" with her photo. I hope the result meets her approval. :)

The mongrel is an optimist. In yet another example of hope triumphing over experience, he waits patiently for a morsel of whatever is making the delicious aroma on the other side of that door. He sees the humans coming and going, mostly in a hurry, sometimes in pairs, but none offer him anything to eat. Sometimes being ignored is best, because he is usually greeted with a boot or a broom or sharply uttered tones, but the stomach is a powerful motivator, and he believes good things are yet to come.

As soon as I chose this Charles Dickens title, I knew I was going to photograph a live flower (Pip) and a dead flower (Estella, or Pip's unrequited love); with a bit of lace thrown in. The candle and wispy smoke wafted in the background of my idea, a bit like Miss Havisham.

'BEING GIVEN THE HEADS UP'.
Each time a frog swallows, it closes its eyes. In doing so, the eyes actually get depressed into their sockets and this aids movement of any food down the throat.
Although frogs are able to swallow food without the assistance of their eyeballs, that would involve an awful lot of swallowing!
So, by depressing one or both eyes simultaneously and using the tongue, food gets effectively pushed towards the stomach. This significantly reduces the amount of swallowing needed, how ingenious is that!
This was the first Marsh Frog I had ever seen and it lived up to all my expectations, and more. It was in the process of eating an insect caught moments before and had just depressed its left eye completely. I only managed to photograph it just as the eye was rising up out of its socket again.
Perhaps, with a stretch of the imagination, it looks as if it is winking?

From a recent trip down to northern California and then drive back to Seattle via highway 101 along the Oregon coast.
To this day one of my favorite Redwoods images is from my pal TJ Thorne, "Endor Redwoods" (500px.com/photo/52480544/endor-redwoods-by-tj-%22tj-thorn...) but I wanted to find my own comp at this location so I made the trip. I was hoping for some awesome conditions with dense fog and prime rhoddies.
Of course that wasn't the case! Probably a high pressure system off the coast because it was nothing but clear, blue skies and not a single day with fog. Either am or pm. And so, these were the best conditions I found. And I actually like this quite a bit!

The constant having to measure up to an image has taken its toll as it does for all real women who are told normally subliminally that they are too fat, too skinny , shouldn't wear this cant wear that. this doesn't look good, that doesn't look right, You should this you should that,
The dark flat wilderness beyond the churchyard, intersected with dykes and mounds and gates, with scattered cattle feeding on it, was the marshes; and that the low leaden line beyond, was the river; and that the distant savage lair from which the wind was rushing, was the sea; and that the small bundle of shivers growing afraid of it all and beginning to cry, was Pip.
