Advanced stages of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) kept my conversation with Daniel fairly short on a sunny Friday afternoon. What I did learn about is that while the COPD effects his everyday life, Daniel still has a fairly good outlook on life. Getting out to enjoy the days while he still can, he manages to live life even when he has been told that he has less then a year to live. Hard words to swallow in my opinion, but when you've lived without a full-time place to live over the last 25 years; each day is a blessing.
Over the course of the last six years Daniel has had help from a variety of outlets to assist him in the search for housing. Presently he is labeled as an "Expectation of Death," which basically means that with his condition worsening by the day (and death could come at any time) he is put at the top of the list for openings. This way he has a place to spend the remainder of his time on Earth. While he doesn't expect it to happen anytime soon, Daniel did share a wonderful adaption on a quote he lives by everyday "Impossible is nothing, miracles take time" Great words to live by if I do say so myself, he told me he's heard it many times over the years and knows that he can't give up all hope.
With a slightly witty sense of joy, he humored me with a few tidbits about COPD and his age. While the disease effects one's lungs between coughs, he explained that he still smokes because it still brings him peace. At his age there isn't really much to enjoy in the world, and with such a debilitation of his style of life so be it! He also told me that he would like me to make sure that before posting in the 100 Strangers group and my 100 more strangers project that I use my Photoshop skills and give him a better physique. My greatest apologies Daniel, as I am not a master Photoshopper but a visual artist portraying the truth in people. Before we parted ways, I told him that I would keep him in my thoughts. He warned me he isn't the greatest with names or faces, so we may cross paths again and he will not recognize me.
It's all good in the long run, as Daniel is a stranger to many but I hope with sharing this photo with everyone that he will be less of one to you if you pass him by!

Is there another world for this frail dust
To warm with life and be itself again?
Something about me daily speaks there must,
And why should instinct nourish hopes in vain?
'Tis nature's prophesy that such will be,
And everything seems struggling to explain
The close sealed volume of its mystery.
Time wandering onward keeps its usual pace
As seeming anxious of eternity,
To meet that calm and find a resting place.
E'en the small violet feels a future power
And waits each year renewing blooms to bring,
And surely man is no inferior flower
To die unworthy of a second spring?

After hours and hours of cold, this day was great with a wonderful sundown. The proof lies on the birds.
2 trains are awaited at Weybourne station, NNR. Fujiflim X10.
The only way to shoot the X10 is:
image size M
Set DR to 400% (very important because it switches the sensor to EXR DR mode)
Raw + JPEG
Discard the JPEG when you import it to Lr4
Process the Raw file
Nothing else works...you will get files from the X10 you can't get from any other compact.
Door of Expectation pulsating with blind malice and sick.

Their pale hands wringing and fingernails torn to the quick.
Duty bound to life inescapable and obligations reviled.
Wednesday 17th June. There was widespread expectation First Minister Nicola Sturgeon would announce a move to phase two of lockdown on Thursday 18th June and give indicative dates for further easing of lockdown.
In phase two the virus is controlled but remains; R is consistently below 1 and WHO conditions are met. Physical distancing would still be required.
Phase two includes: People meeting in larger groups; workers being allowed to return to construction sites; opening playgrounds; small shops selling non-essential goods reopening (but not shopping malls); outdoor beer gardens but not indoor areas of pubs.
"Ms Sturgeon has previously stressed that not all of the changes will happen overnight, and it might not be until "the coming weeks" that some are in place."

"In expectation of the coming of our Lord Jesus, Here lyeth the body of Sir Robert Hitcham- Knight. Born at Levington in the county of Suffolk. Scholar in the Free-school at Ipswich and sometime of Pembroke Hall in Cambridge; and after of Grays Inn. Attorney to Queen Anne in the first year of King James, then knighted, and afterward made the King's senior servant at law, and often judge of assizes. Aged 64 years. Died the 15th of August. ANNO 1636.
The Children not yet born, with gladness shall Thy pious actions into memory call;
And thou shalt live as long as there shall be, Either poor, or any use of charity.
Sir Robert Hitcham c1572-1636 was the son of Robert Hitcham, yeoman of Nacton and Joan Gillet. He was educated at the Free School at Levington near Ipswich and later Pembroke College, Cambridge studying law,
Becoming a prominent lawyer in London, He MP and Attorney General to Anne of Denmark, wife of James l who knighted him in 1604 . He was Serjeant at Law and King's Senior Sergeant-at-law to Charles l .
He retired to Suffolk and in1635 bought Framlingham Castle and manor for £14,000 from Theophilus Howard, 2nd Earl of Suffolk , He bought a house in Ipswich and spent the rest of his bachelor days in that town.
On his death he left the castle and estates to Pembroke College, Cambridge which still owns the castle and remains lord of the manor and patron of the living of the church.
His will stated that the castle, save for the outer walls, be demolished and the stone used to build a work house, 12 almshouses and a schoolhouse. . His sister’s son Robert Butts inherited an estate at Levington where almshouses were also to be built. .
An endowment of £20 was left to Framlingham church for the reading of prayers twice a day and £50 was to be divided among the poor of Nacton. His epitaph of 1638 proclaimed:

(Expectation Effect)
A major celebrity (Kim Karadashian) promotes a product (excerise DVDs) and look (her body). The DVD's say if any woman does these simple workout routines which she is willing to give the secret to, they can look as gorgeous as she is. While this could be highly debated, the fact it sells in the billions and six dvds have been produced so far. This also falls into the Placebo Effect.
