Le Palais Idéal (the "Ideal Place") in Hauterives (Drôme) is a palace designed by a French postman named Ferdinand Cheval.
Cheval built this palace during 33 years of his life, in a little city in the south of France.
He died in 1924, just a year after he finished his work.
One of my other neighbours came to our house the other day to tell me about this exotic orchid that he had blooming in his garden. I went down to see it and I am amazed by this beautiful flower. It is unusual in the fact that the plant is in a hanging pot and the flower grows from the bottom - it makes a wonderful display.
Historical Melaka City has become a well known and popular tourist spot for both local and foreign visitors due to its rich culture, historical architect and exquisite cuisine.
