This is the Cesar Chavez Community Center in my neighbourhood. It's located at the Phil Chacon Park. This is where Stu and I exercise three times a week. That's him in the background in the red shirt. I stopped going when I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis in my knee but kept exercising once it was better. I would walk Shizandra every morning, but now it's so hot to do that, so we take her to the park every morning around 7 a.m. and exercise her. We are also committed to her as well and I know she loves us for it.
Thank you for any comments faves you care to leave me, I do appreciate them all.
Have A Marvelous Monday and Get Out There And Exercise!
Jo & Stu.

This selfie was taken in one of the gyms on OSU's campus. Because I live in Park-Stradley hall, which is on South campus, I often go to Jesse Owens South (where this photo is taken). In the image, I am running on one of the elliptical machines. In order to distract myself while running, I either watch my show, Suits, on Prime Video, or listen to my "Workout" Spotify playlist. All last year, I only worked out a few times. However, this year my roommate and I decided that we would encourage each other to go to the gym every other day. Since working out, I now feel that I fit in better with the principles held in high esteem by my family. Since my brothers have always played sports, exercise has always been very important to them.
This selfie has made me change the way that I see myself because it has made me proud of spending my time somewhere that people go to better themselves by improving their physical fitness. This is important to my identity because it has to do with the influence of health. I decided to start working out because I wanted to get into better shape and improve my well-being.

Exercise and physical activity are good for just about everyone, including older adults. There are four main types and each type is different. Doing them all will give you more benefits.
- Endurance, or aerobic, activities increase your breathing and heart rate. Brisk walking or jogging, dancing, swimming, and biking are examples.
- Strength exercises make your muscles stronger. Lifting weights or using a resistance band can build strength.
- Balance exercises help prevent falls
- Flexibility exercises stretch your muscles and can help your body stay limber

What did I learn? How to lay down a glaze over a wash without disturbing the color underneath. By glazing, you can get by with less colors. Glazing gives color depth. Working with values improves a painting. Refreshed color mixtures.
