I'm sure they would be perfectly happy just standing there eating hay, but it doesn't hurt to move them around a bit.

WOD (thanks to GoCrossfit Nashville): 30/25/20/15/10/5 rep rounds of wall balls and knees to elbows. Wall balls coming along nicely now; think I'm about ready to upgrade from the "kiddie" ball (10 lbs) to the "girlie" ball (14 lbs). This is my first workout doing knees to elbows, and although I had a modification option set up for me I decided to stick with the real deal no matter how long it took. It took a while.

Samma-sati...is the seventh element of the noble eightfold path.
Enlightenment ("Bodhi") is a state of being in which greed, hatred, & delusion have been...overcome, abandoned & are absent from the mind.
Samma-sati (Mindfulness) is an attentive awareness of the reality of things (especially of the present moment)--& is an antidote to delusion. This faculty becomes a power in particular when it is coupled with clear comprehension of whatever is taking place.
Here's to Bodhi: Take a bow, Bodhisattva...how much you have endured (in all my vanity & ego-driven silliness).

I am very lucky to live in a remote location, up a single track road in the Peak District. The moor literally starts on the other side of the lane from our house. In these times of COVID lock-down, it gives a lot of options for taking local exercise...
This is on Whaley Moor, looking towards Windgather Rocks and Shining Tor, with Combs Moss in the background.
After catching a morning baseball game between the Trenton Thunder and the Reading Phillies, I stopped over to catch some Northeast Corridor action from the adjacent riverwalk. Here, an NJ Transit train heads for the Morrisville Maintenance Center as some employees from the nearby offices get some exercise in.
This chap, a wharf worker, was actually doing push ups to pass the time, while waiting for the ship to depart, so they could let go of the bow ropes.
As someone mentioned, is the other man practicing yoga?

The hardest, though perhaps the most rewarding, photography trip I have done so far was finding and photographing Mountain Gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Ugunda. I will never forget that, neither the gorillas nor the 2x3hr trek through dense forest. What an exercise that was. Well, that was 5yrs ago, so maybe it's age, though second in line was chasing these Mountain Hares (Lepus timidus) a few weeks ago. One meter of snow is heavy... proper exercise. Loved it!
I was passenger in this car and died of a craniocerebral trauma ... but thank goodness only one exercise.

Queen Mary's Bower Chatsworth.
Tradition holds that Queen Mary’s Bower was constructed in the 1570s when Mary Queen of Scots was held at Chatsworth, in order to provide a raised exercise ground for the captive queen (her presence at Chatsworth is recorded throughout the 1570s). There is no hard evidence to support this tradition, and while it is perfectly possible that the structure was used by the exiled queen there seems little doubt that the Bower was originally built as a garden feature.
The Bower’s original form is uncertain. It was massively restored in the 1820s by Wyatville and the area around the Bower has been changed in many ways since the 16th century. In particular, major alterations in the mid-18th century by Brown and Millican included the removal of the ponds further to the east. This level and featureless area is a testament to the extent of levelling and earth-moving undertaken by Brown and Millican.

A taller, more slender and maybe more mature looking version of the chibi. I'm not a big fan of the hip joint but it can pull out amaizing sitting poses *o* And the torso joint works extremely well.

Parks and open spaces are about recreation, ambling, smelling the flowers, gentle exercise and so-on… but when they provide a zip wire, they’re also about fun. Morden Hall Park, the National Trust open space in south London, has done exactly that, so Liang seized the moment (and the zip wire) while I merely pressed the shutter!
Morden Hall Park covers 125 acres and was once a deer park in a private estate. The River Wandle meanders through the grounds, creating a haven for walkers and wildlife alike – not least a large rose garden and a substantial wetland area. Oh, and let’s not forget the zip wire…
