Shotblasted diff mounting bracket, rear hubs etc. Extensive use was used of the Vanwall shotblaster, using a course grit to remove all the rust on the various components. Fortunately, under the surface rust, all the components so far have been in good condition, and no cracks found. (36)

Still more wires to go into the car. Here are the wires for the GPS (windscreen mounted) Dash cash, with connecting cable to rear camera, microphone and the interior lights

The rear side windows will have a chrome surround around them. Here we are making a splash of the shape of the glass which will be exposed, and from this will be cut out a fiberglass pattern, from which will be copied out of 2mm thick steel sheet. This, when finished will be chrome plated 25 April 2007 (249)

After cleaning, the chassis was found to be in excellent condition.

2 coats of Galvafroid were applied before painting (10 Dec 2005) and lacquering. The galvansied chassis, now has 2 coats of galvafroid, and a complete paint system, so should last and last. (49)

Both E400s in the Orange Excel LDUVery are both seen on the X3 service.
