Like most of the front and rear suspension components, rust had penetrated deeply into these front wheel hubs. Tape has been applied to all the areas which do not require painting, and the surface damaged.

Details of the painted chassis:- The front corner looking up from the bottom. This was the most difficult part to get into and clean.
A lot of work was put into the cleaning up of the chassis. It was pressure washed twice, Jiffex used to remove the oil, the galvansing was starting to suffer from oxidation, so this was removed by scraping, and wire brushes in an angle grinder etc.
After cleaning, the chassis was found to be in excellent condition.
2 coats of Galvafroid were applied before painting (10 Dec 2005) and lacquering. The galvansied chassis, now has 2 coats of galvafroid, and a complete paint system, so should last and last. (54)
A lot of issues. Restricted space due to the Toyota heater. I also want a Double Din car radio at the top. I have struggled to find the right size ventilation air outlet, so this is a compromise. The Toyota heater controls are a little to wide and I want to install the new "Gauge Pilot"
