So! I think, for the moment, I finally have Junie like I want her. She is not perfect and I have a LONG WAY to go but, for the moment, I can deal. She is as close as she can be to the vision in my head with my skills the level they are now. So, TA-DA! Here is the evolution of Junie! I have to say, I still LOVE her second faceup, it was ADORBS! But her first one gives me the nightmares! Idk what I was thinking with that one. Her third one, though, is my fave. If only because it's what I had in mind from the very beginning and, honestly, I think it shows improvement. XD
What do you think?!
PS: In the third pic, yes, she is without eyes. I was going to put the purple ones she came with (the ones in the second pic) back in but, frankly, I don't want to get used to seeing her in those eyes. I'd rather just wait till her actual eyes come. XD Also, in the first pic, she is wearing 16mm eyes so, for the record, Li takes 14mm for a reason. LOL! Also, that is what made me decide to get her green eyes instead of blue. I put those in and I just HATED them! LOL! Also, this is not her real wig. She may wear it from time to time but I bought her a light pink wig from Bread17 and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Her eyes will be Captured in Glass eyes, just like my other dolls. XD
the line up makes the different layers on the ball. 2nd one from left is c60. far right has 4 layers total, 3 on top of the c60. the one in the back is the 2nd layer alone. it is tricky to start, but once you get a few pentagons and triangles in, it gets easier.
Textile Evolution Retreat 2010:Carol Sloan's evening demo had us laughing and stitching...with a few groans from the non-hand stitchers but even they had fun.
