Homo sapiens sapiens meets Homo sapiens manhattanesis
Fascinating store. They have minerals, preserved butterflies, fossils (real and modeled) and if you need to have a facsimile skull of Australopithecus afarensis for your bookcase, this is the place for you!
The orange is eroded by gray. Or is the other way around?
So before there was a flickr there was the Queensway Tube Stop in London. Sullen and strangely deserted on a weekend afternoon. Waiting long minutes for the tube I chanced upon this wall with its seeming generations of pasted up ads. A kind of evolution, we see what's at the surface but there's a long deep history beneath
The birth and evolution of the Ford GT – the iconic car that won Le Mans four times in the 1960s – was explored at this Demo Day, featuring the GT40 Mk I, Mk II, Mk IV, and the Lola Mk 6, the car many believe was the inspiration for the Ford GT.
The event featured three noted authorities on the marque: former driver for Shelby American and owner of the Lola, Allen Grant; author of Ford Racing Century and builder of the Kar-Kraft continuation Mk IVs, Mike Teske; and the author of the most comprehensive history of endurance racing, Time and Two Seats, Janos Wimpffen. Historian/photographer Harry Hurst was the moderator. In addition to the cars above, the Demo Day included a 2005 Ford GT and four 2019 Ford GT’s.

R-Evolution, According to NBC: "The sculpture was made by Petaluma artist Marco Cochrane a decade ago on Treasure Island and is comprised of 55,000 welded connections. The sculpture first debuted at Burning Man in 2015.
"R-Evolution doesn't just stand still; for an hour a day, her chest rises and falls, simulating breathing. At night, she will be illuminated.
"At a press conference Thursday, Cochrane said that when he and collaborators first began making this sculpture, they said, "'Let's bring goddess energy into the world.'" Cocrane's website describes this piece as a symbol "of feminine strength and liberation."
"Cochrane said it took about three-and-a-half days to install the sculpture in San Francisco." San Francisco on Wedneday, May 28, 2025.

Supposedly the world's biggest dinosaurs...but, as I found out, they aren't real! What's real is that they are a pretense to present creationist, anti-evolution theories about life on Earth.
