The stock horns are grounded thru their base. For the Hellas, you need to complete the ground circuit by running wire from the ground spade connector to the base or similar ground source. This seemed to be the simplest location so I went with it.
Evolution - Let there be Light. Licht, veel licht was er zeker! Wat een mooie licht- en lasershow. Dat maakt het werk voor partyfotografen leuk en uitdagend :) Behalve mooi licht, werd er ook nog eens top gedraaid. Held van de avond voor mij was toch zeker wel Markus Schulz. Het was voor mij wel even wennen de weg die Tiesto in slaat. Je kunt het mooi vinden of niet, hij blijft zichzelf vernieuwen. Dat was aan de set bij Evolution ook goed te horen. En dat is zeker knap als je al zolang meegaat als Tijs. Al met al een topweekend, met eerst Reloaded..... Dance into the Future en daarna Evolution - Let there be Light. Thx. Radio 538 voor de uitstekende organisatie. Hopelijk krijgt dit initiatief een vervolg volgend jaar.

We switched the location of our game table, and moved everything over to the left. We also got rid of our old slip-covered couch. I love the result!

This lecture recital by Pavlo Beznosiuk (violin) and Chris Daunt (wood engraver) juxtaposed the evolutions of the violin bow and wood engraving from the 18th century.
The violin bow of the 18th century was a very different tool to its modern counterpart. It was simple in construction but capable of a far more varied repertoire of nuanced strokes. Renowned Baroque violinist and our principal violinist Pavlo Beznosiuk charted the history and development of the violin bow and showed the very specific musical and technical advances made by violinists of the18th century.
Wood engraving is a print making process that grew out of the technique of the woodcut. Master wood engraver Chris Daunt showed how wood engraving developed from the desire to achieve a finer line and greater tonal range than the wood cut, as well as the need to be able to print images alongside moveable type. Chrisl explained how Thomas Bewick (1753-1828) from Gateshead perfected the art of wood engraving to a level that has, arguably, not been surpassed. Chris explained how wood engraving became the main method for producing publication images in the 19th century and went on to become a fine art in the early 20th century. Chris described the process from the point of view of a practicioner and teacher and had a selection of tools, blocks and prints on view.
This lecture recital was part of our Avison Workbook Project. Thanks to funding awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund we were able to explore the heritage and legacy of Charles Avison’s music by displaying one of Avison's manuscript music Workbooks from the 1750s. Manuscript music by Avison was virtually unknown until we acquired and restored two of his Workbooks in 2002. Since then they’ve been on loan to Newcastle City Library, housed in the Charles Avison Building, but are rarely on public display. Thanks to the HLF we have been able to make these very significant Workbooks available to view at this event.

The Avison Ensemble is the outstanding period instrument orchestra based in Newcastle upon Tyne, which plays and popularises the music of Charles Avison (1709-1770) and other English classical composers of the Baroque period, such as Garth, Arne and Herschel. The Ensemble also performs Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, Corelli, Geminiani, Pergolesi, Teleman, Rameau, Bach, Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven.
