Not the best of light today for moving subjects but got lucky with this Gelada Baboon which suddenly stood upright and ran along this platform before going back on all fours. At Colchester Zoo

This history of the evolution of the song “Louie, Louie” is pretty wild: shinynewnickle.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/the-laughing-shock-...
❝
The Kingsmen, in contrast, came into Northwestern, Inc, Motion Pictures and Recording having just done a stage set consisting of nothing but “Louie Louie” for either 45 or 90 minutes, depending on whose account you read. The band got bored but the crowd went wild. They stumbled into the three-microphone studio with no aim other than to knock all of the stuffing out of the song. The original idea had been to record the song as an instrumental. Then Jack Ely noticed that one of the studio’s three microphones – the one into which he was expected to sing – had been raised several feet above his head. Surrounded by the rest of the band, he allegedly had to stand on his toes, lean back and shout just to make himself heard.
❞
Funnily enough, this summer we got to see the instruments the song was recorded on:
Guitar Gallery: The Quest for Volume presents 55 vintage, world-changing guitars from the 1770s to the present.
Instruments on display span the development of the guitar through the lives and accomplishments of innovators such as Orville Gibson, Leo Fender, and Les Paul, and the musicians who played them to fame such as Bo Diddley, Dave Davies of the Kinks, Eddie Van Halen, and Kurt Cobain.
Throughout 2017, MoPOP will be adding more than 25 iconic guitars from the permanent collection to the Guitar Gallery. These new instruments were used by some of the greatest musicians in popular music. Check back often to see axes once wielded by Jimi Hendrix, Howlin’ Wolf, Eric Clapton, Chuck Berry, Carrie Brownstein, Bob Dylan, and many others.

You know you're going to shoot a screamer of a photo when your internal monologue runs something along the lines of "Shit, got nothing. What have we here... Master System games - check! Empty them from their cases, put them on the floor... excellent, nothing bad can come from this." Having said all that I don't mind this shot. I like the focus and light fall off on the cartridges as the photo drops into the background. Outrageous prep shot below.

somehow found myself under the gun again.. and ahhh it felt so good.
Kandinsky Tattoo - evolved from something that I used to think i was, to everything that is. Look up Kandinsky's color theory as it relates to shape and you will understand. Or you may have better luck looking up the Bauhaus design theory.
Light/Strobist: A 500W spotlight (warm white) from left and a neon-lamp (cold white) from right. The spotlight goes into the lightcube, the neon-lamp is in the lightcube, where the object stands.
What do you take pride in?
