Over a decade i have been working on letters. sometimes without real passion, sometimes with fun and lately as a profession. it's interesting how the style involved through the years and how some parts stayed the same and some became different. sadly many pictures especialy before 2000 got lost, but here are the most important ones, where one can see the developement. although i have been writing different names.

Photograph taken at 06:57am on July 26th 2011 after catching the first morning train up to London Bridge, for a leisurely street shoot on the South Bank in London.
This frame was taken within the skateboard arena on London's South Bank, located underneath the Queen Elizabeth Hall, near the Festival Pier and very much a part of the central London scene. Home to world championships and freedom of expression that is both artistic and refreshing, this vibrant and energetic location has fallen victim sadly to red tape and beaurocratic stupidity which threatens to close it in the near future.

From William Maxwell Reed. The Earth for Sam: The Story of Mountains, Rivers, Dinosaurs and Men. New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1921. p.288.
This image from a 1921 children's book illustrates that while the scopes trial minimised discussion of evolution in children's books it may also have radicalized children's book publishers to create more explicit references to evolution in books for even younger children. In this picture we see not only explicit connections between men and 'monkeys' but also a representation of what these books intended to offer young children. The boy in this picture, through study is able to uncover his evolutionary lineage.

Nike
Its name used to be an integral part of the sportswear company’s logo, but the swoosh became so intertwined with the brand that Nike barely uses its name in ads anymore.
I took this for my hubby. He wants one of these for the van.

This photo was taken at a local urban track for kids and young people to enjoy BMX. I used off camera flash for the first time..a challenge to say the least..
When I was a kid BMX was simply for children to have fun and now it is a professional sport.. I had previously never considered the use of negative space. I used it in this shot to demonstrate the evolution in the sport.

Conditions were terrible. It was high noon. I had 20 seconds to park my car, and get out and snag a single shot. I would love to go back here and spend some time with good lighting and not have to rush to adjust camera settings and then run back to the car and drive away. 1 shot taken and this is the result.
