The newest bus in the Pullman fleet is Volvo B8RLE (Euro 6) MCV Evolution BV17 CPU which has been specially ordered to run the 36 service which links York with villages such as Elvington and Sutton on Derwent, the contract for route 36 has just been renewed with Pullman for a further 5 years. The bus has been given vinyl branding as 'My36' and includes a silhouette skyline of York's famous buildings along with a Lancaster Bomber flying overhead to note the 36's connections to and from the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington. On a saturday the final X36 journey in the late afternoon is run by EYMS and not Pullman, so to make use of existing vehicles and drivers this has been shifted onto the 197 raceday shuttle service (the only single decker running the 197 today) and is seen at the Racecourse
Part of the evolution display at the exhibition, where the path from the earliest cells to our brain is traced by a winding shelf.

While still not looking as sleek as the more expensive HP models I am happy to say Dell is making some progress in making their products look nicer.
Also, it is good to have a girlfriend who works as a buyer for a large IT company; all the presents she gets 'somehow' end up in my pockets *grin*
What do you take pride in?

Stagecoach South East inherited a number of MAN 14.220/MCV Evolutions when they bought Eastbourne Buses.
Some of them have now been repainted white, prior to being returned off lease, as Stagecoach replace them with new, owned, buses.
I was therefore quite pleased to see two remaining in Stagecoach livery turn up in Tunbridge Wells, as there's not many of this type in the Stagecoach fleet.
This one is 39637 (AE06 XRV), pulling away having just dropped off on route 252. The LEDs did come out in this one, but have been obliterated by the reflection on the glass!
Mount Pleasant Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Saw these two there together and thought it would do for a nice "evolutive" picture, specially since both are pretty much the same color.
If this Sebring is the one I am thinking about then it used to wear chromed hubcaps which has kept losing one by one, it's registered in 2001.
The Stratus on the other hand was quite dirty and accumulated a lot of dust in both the body and the wheels, perhaps not moved from there for a long time now. Its front plate was damaged so I cannot see the letters propertly but I'm guessing it's BZW therefre registered in 2002 (is it too new for the car? wiki says this generation ended production in 2000. But perhaps it lasted a bit longer here?).
