Every hour of every day, the relentless waves pound the rocks and boulders on the tip of the Schoodic Peninsula in Maine. Photographed at Schoodic Point, the crown jewel of the peninsula, which is known for its dramatic coastline and crashing surf. The granite ledges and rocky outcrops provide excellent vantage points for observing the powerful Atlantic Ocean waves.

The New Year Fireworks show in Valparaiso holds the record of being the most extensive in the world. Along 30 km and from 19 points on the sea a pyrotechnic show that lasts 25 min. Every year the show is seen by more than 2 million people who arrive to the Bay of Valparaiso on New Year's Eve.

Every year, my green-leaf Japanese maple tree almost always turned from green to brown overnight. But the weather this year has been extraordinary. I am so happy to see its rare golden colors.

When every second you are breathing you feel the urge to be close to someone
So close that you can touch and feel them with the whole of your being
All cuddled up
Being 16 in a grown up body
Because you are 16 in your mind
When every second is memorable
When it all gives you the need of having more of it
Even though you have lots and lots of time

And memories are being made
All moments, how tiny they are not, are remembered and felt
Brought to life by our minds over and over again, because we enjoy them so much

The things others might not see anymore because they have had it for so long

Nothing is taken for granted
It's like we've never lived before
Life has just been a waiting place
Making a history we needed to live through to get into the path that is ours to behold
How perfect this is
And to understand how perfect this is even I needed to use my scissors
Lots of times
To cut the old patterns
The patterns I have made because of the life I have lived
The way I felt it had to be to ever survive
And not to speak of the old inherited family patterns
Scissors have been used frequently
All this mindfulness needed to be done to come to this new path I am on
I'm ever so grateful
It hurts like h... to be departed
But who am I to complain...
Even I am human not to say that I'm complaining
About not being fulfilled
Filled with the love I found in him

It's embarrassing to complain when you know what life others may live through

It is Eucalyptus Summer Red, a (grafted) hybrid between Eucalyptus ficifolia and ptychocarpa, quite a tiny tree at the moment. Can grow to a height of 5m and a crown width of 3m.

Every Tuesday evening during the summer months people gather at this little park in my neighborhood to dance the Tango.
It is an intimate and passionate dance....too bad Mike is not much of a dancer:(

If you live in a rural area and walk your dogs in the Fall and early Winter, you undoubtedly have had a run-in with these beautiful but maddeningly clingy Burdock burrs! They're beautiful pink thistle-like flowers in the Spring and Summer, and then morph into this seed head that sticks to everything.
How perfect that Burdock burrs were the inspiration for Velcro! :)

Every year for Christmas, our tour operator for South Africa trips sends these lovely handmade bead figurines to their customers. I already own an elephant, a rhino and a zebra. Yesterday this cute buffalo arrived.
