A heavyset finch of northern coniferous forests, the Evening Grosbeak adds a splash of color to winter bird feeders every few years, when large flocks depart their northern breeding grounds en masse to seek food to the south. The yellow-bodied, dusky-headed male has an imposing air thanks to his massive bill and fierce eyebrow stripe. The female is more subtly marked, with golden highlights on her soft gray plumage. This declining species is becoming uncommon, particularly in the eastern United States.

Willow is watching the cows come down the hill. Tam is watching the smoke.
I was heading for the beach this evening for an evening bath after work when I pictured this scene in my head. The beach is just a minute from this location, the same as the last uploaded photos.
The sun and light was like I've never seen it before, like a glowing ball caused by the fog in the air.
I used a LEE 0.6 GradND filter to ensure a bit more dynamic range for the shot, leaving less noise in the shadow in post processing:)
City evening sky at sunset, with massive dark blue clouds. Because of the wind, the whole sky scenery is moving at high speed, giving the whole image a blurred effect.
It has been a rather dull day. Uninteresting light for taking pictures. So i decided "no use to bring the cam" for the evening-dog-walk.
But when i drove out .. incredible totally unecpected scenery spreaded in front of my eyes !!! Clouds must have just opened a small belt, and the resulting light and colour were amazing - just WOW. So i turned around quickly, grabed the cam and just was in time to take it out of the bag to take two shots before the sun was gone ..
Didn't see what the name of that ship was, but the island there in the middle is called Hamnholmen! ("Harbour island")
Hanko, Finland.
I'm having a busy evening tonight making the dvd for the wedding I photographed. I'm putting on the wedding video and all the photos to a slideshow with music - lots of fun :-). I just wanted to stop by quickly and put on this photo I took the other day whilst photgraphing the sunset at Kinver edge - I really loved the lighting up there!
