Finally better weather allowed for some evening shots of daisies amongst the maize.

Any day spent in an airport — waiting, waiting — jammed into an aircraft, popped out into a repurposed school bus, talked at, not to, and left — waiting, waiting — needs a circuit breaker. What about a walk on a beach?

As beaches go it's better than some; not as good as others. This one, Cobo Beach, has a million dollar western aspect studded by ugly ragged chunks of Bordeaux Diorite and bracketted with headlands of red Cobo Adamellite.

Lightening the mood, this half-hearted rainbow did its best. Three out of five.

First evening in Havana and this old Cadillac Convertible parked outside out hotel. I was really impressed for a while, but by the end of the week old American cars were common place.

While I was about finishing up my sunset shots at Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge this evening, I spotted this human figure strolling along the mud slough in the far distance. The sky looked beautiful above him. I then turned my FDn 80-200mm lens on him and fired a couple of shots.

I'd popped up to this field earlier in the week but couldn't work a shot with harsh light and no cloud in the sky. I thought it was worth another try, so went last night and had much better side light & nice cloud cover. Glad I did go as today is horrible!!
