The Spanish Hall, built between 1569 and 1572, is one of the most important freestanding halls of the Renaissance. The picturesque lay-out of the 43-metre (141 ft) long hall is dominated by the 27 full-length portraits of the princely rulers of the Tyrol. Today rather famous classical concerts take place in this hall.
Der Spanische Saal unterhalb des Hochschlosses zählt zu den prächtigsten Saalbauten der Renaissance. Im Sommer erklingt darin Musik, etwa im Rahmen der “Ambraser Schlosskonzerte” und der “Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik”. Der Innenhof des Hochschlossen ist mit originalen Fresken gestaltetet. Das Renaissancejuwel mit seinem weitläufigen Park macht einen Besuch zum unvergesslichen Erlebnis!

1 Kilometer (0.6 Meilen) von uns weg brennt es bereits das erste mal dieses Jahr. Für mich eher erstaunlich, da wir erst seit ca. 2 Wochen keinen Regen mehr hatten. Auf diesem Hügel gibt es nichts, kein Haus, keine Wege, nur Gestrüpp und Wind. Der Löschhelikopter war schnell zur Stelle (siehe nächstes Foto) . Die Feuerwehr wird vor Ort bleiben um eventuelle Schwellbrände sofort Löschen zu können. Auch der Helikopter zieht noch seine Runden, um aus der Luft weitere Brände entdecken zu können.
Ein Lob an die Feuerwehr am Boden und in der Luft, gute Arbeit - Vielen Dank !!!
1 kilometer (0.6 miles) away from us it burns already the first time this year. Rather surprising for me, since we have had no rain for only about 2 weeks. There is nothing on this hill, no house, no paths, only bushes and wind. The firefighting helicopter was quickly on the scene (see next photo) . Firefighters will remain on site to extinguish any swell fires immediately. Also the helicopter is still making its rounds to be able to detect further fires from the air.

A 1 kilómetro de nosotros ya se quema por primera vez este año. Para mí es bastante sorprendente, porque no hemos llovido durante unas 2 semanas. En esta colina no hay nada, ni casa, ni caminos, sólo maleza y viento. El helicóptero de bomberos acudió rápidamente al lugar de los hechos (véase la siguiente foto). Los bomberos se quedarán en el lugar para extinguir inmediatamente cualquier incendio por oleaje. También el helicóptero sigue haciendo sus rondas para poder descubrir más incendios desde el aire.
Alabanza a los bomberos en tierra y en el aire, buen trabajo - ¡¡¡ muchas gracias !!!

Getting those in that beautiful light was just perfect.
Malerisch umgeben von zwei Armen der Havel liegt die Freundschaftsinsel in der Mitte Potsdams. Berühmt wurde sie durch die 1937 von Karl Foerster angelegten Schau- und Lehrgärten mit mehr als eintausend verschiedenen Stauden und über 250 Schwertliliensorten im Wassergarten. Hier kann man nicht nur bei einen Spaziergang die Natur und Garten genießen, sondern auch zahlreiche Skulpturen gibt es zu entdecken. Nicht zu vergessen das Inselcafé und der große Spielplatz, wo man als Familie den Tag verbringen kann. Die Freundschaftsinsel ist ein kleines Paradies unter den Grünanlagen von Potsdam.

Picturesquely surrounded by two arms of the Havel, Friendship Island lies in the middle of Potsdam. It became famous through the show and teaching gardens created by Karl Foerster in 1937 with more than a thousand different perennials and over 250 varieties of iris in the water garden. Here you can not only enjoy nature and the garden on a walk, but there are also numerous sculptures to discover. Not to forget the island café and the large playground where you can spend the day as a family. Friendhip Island is a small paradise among the green spaces of Potsdam.

I caught a small movement in the high grass, a good 30m away from the road and a glimpse of something brownish between the green.
This little Waterbuck was hiding in the grass, but no worries, his mother was not to far away.
The magnificent Evelyn Richter exhibition in Leipzig can be seen until March 17, 2024 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig.

After a little nap, even the sweetest dreams are over at some point.
The herd was slowly beginning to move from the graslands towards the nearby waterhole, when this Zebra mother started to gently poke her little foal awake.

Eine gute halbe Stunde nach dem ersten Bild "Blaue Seite voraus" folgte der zweite Schuss, diesmal mit der grünen Seite an der Spitze bei Nortmoor.
Musste mich mit dem Fahrrad ganz schön reinhängen, um rechtzeitig vor Ort zu sein;-)
Als Märchenfee "klopfe" ich immer wieder an fremde Türen und bin gespannt, was ich dahinter entdecken werde... der Sommer kann noch spannend werden... den Türklopfer fand ich bei einem Ausflug nach Metz in der Altstadt.

Ein Ausflug nach Wien
Alle, die keinen Urlaub machen können, mögen mich auf einer Runde durch Wien begleiten. Vorbei an den berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber vielleicht auch abseits Sehenswertes entdecken ...
Das Gebäude wurde um 1910 fertiggestellt und beherbergt heute neben einer Volkshochschule, die Sternwarte, ein Kino, das Urania-Puppentheater und ein Café-Bar-Restaurant.
Hans und Marianne Kraus haben ab 1950 hier ihre Kasperlvorstellungen vorgeführt. Seit 1957 liefen diese auch im österreichischen Fernsehen und waren Teil meiner Kindheit, mit Kasperl, Pezi und dem Drachen Dagobert. Später übernahm Manfred Müller die Puppenbühne und seit 2018 ist der österreichische Künstler André Heller damit betraut.

Hans and Marianne Kraus presented their Punch and Judy shows here from 1950. From 1957 these also ran on Austrian television and were part of my childhood, with Punch, Pezi and the dragon Dagobert. Later, Manfred Müller took over the puppet stage and since 2018, the Austrian artist André Heller has been entrusted with it.

In Städten und auf dem Land möchte ich zu meiner Erinnerung rasch einfache, entdeckte, stille Stellen zeichnen - immer vor Ort - in der Vorstellung, allein zu sein, auch ohne den überquellenden Verkehr um mich herum. Weil ich aber für solch eine Zeichnung etwa eine halbe Stunde brauche, kann ich nur entdecken, sehen und arbeiten, wenn ich allein bin. Das ist selten der Fall.
In cities and in the country I want to my memory quickly simple, discovered, hidden places draw - always there - in the idea of being alone, even without the overflowing traffic around me. But because I need about half an hour for such a drawing, I can only discover, see and work, when I'm alone. That's rarely the case.
Impala and his little passenger. That Oxpecker was all over and searching for ticks.
In this case, the Impala seemed to accept him as a friend and not a disturbance.
Taubental (Güvercinlik Vadisi)
Am Ortsrand von Uçhisar führt ein Weg hinunter ins Taubental (Güverçin Vadisi). Durch ein grünes Tal, neben einem kleinen, aber schmutzigen Bach, wandern wir zwischen Tuff-Felswänden entlang. Überall sind Höhlen mit Fluglöchern für die Tauben. Manche sind auch hübsch bemalt. Immer wieder entdecken wir neue Ausblicke und Fotomotive.

On the outskirts of Uçhisar a path leads down into the Pigeon Valley (Güverçin Vadisi). Through a green valley, next to a small but dirty stream, we walk along tuff cliffs. Everywhere are caves with holes for the pigeons. Some are also pretty painted. Again and again we discover new views and photo opportunities.
When I walk alone, I wish I could reach the end of the road soon. But, when a friend walks with me, I wish the road never ends.

CLIFFS OF MOHER | IRELAND
At the Moher Cliffs you get 3 Options. Stay at the Center and the viewpoints there and share it with hundreds of people or you take one of two hikes along the cliff-tops. (this was shot along the way to Doolin)
Just after the first kilometer you'll find yourself nearly alone with this beautiful coastline. We sat on top at this point, had some bread with smoked goat-cheese we bought earlier that day and had a great picnic there, away from anybody else.
