Mir macht es Freude bunte Muster in trister Umgebung zu entdecken. Auf der Station Marble Arch gibt es 8 verschiedene Muster und eins ist schöner als das andere. Dieses Foto konnte ich durch die geöffnete Tür der U-Bahn machen.
I like to discover colorful patterns in dreary surroundings. At the Marble Arch station there are 8 different patterns and one is more beautiful than the next. This photo I could make through the open door of the subway.
This one is enlighted with a single Soligor 42DA LCD triggered with cheap PT04 radio triggers.
The flash was freely held and the camera placed at a tripod and was triggered by a IR remote.
Manual exposure and manual focus.

Als Kinder haben wir die Scheinwespen genannt.
Die Eichwerder Moorwiesen sind ein Moor, das sich im Norden Berlins beidseits der Grenze zwischen Brandenburg und Berlin erstreckt. Früher haben im Tegeler Fließtal Enziane und Orchideen geblüht. Von der reichen Moorvegetation zeugen heute leider nur noch wenige Arten – aber immerhin kann man heute zum Beispiel Sumpfbaldrian oder Schlangen--knöterich entdecken. Dies ist einer gemeinsamen Aktion vom Natur-schutz-fonds Brandenburg un dem Naturpark Barnim zu verdanken, die gemeinsam diesen seltenen Lebensraum an der Grenze von Berlin und Brandenburg renaturierte, sodass sich die Eichwerder Moorwiesen immer mehr erholen. Denn in der Vergangenheit waren die Wiesen für die Viehzucht trockengelegt worden. Jetzt wird das Moor wieder vernässt, sodass auch die typische Moorvegetation langsam zurückkehrt und die nicht in ein Moor gehörenden Bäume, die auf den trockenen Wiesen gewachsen waren, absterben.

The Eichwerder Moor Meadows are a moor that extends in the north of Berlin near Lübars on both sides of the border between Brandenburg and Berlin. In the past, gentians and orchids flourished in the Tegel Brook Valley. Today, unfortunately, only a few species bear witness to the rich bog vegetation - but at least you can discover marsh valerian or bistort, for example. This is thanks to a joint project by the Brandenburg Nature Conservation Fund and the Barnim Nature Park, which together renaturalised this rare habitat on the border between Berlin and Brandenburg, so that the Eichwerder moor meadows are recovering more and more. In the past, the meadows had been drained for cattle breeding. Now the moor is being wetted again, so that the typical moorland vegetation is slowly returning and the trees that did not belong in a moor, which had grown on the dry meadows, are dying.

HP supercell over town called Owen, Baden-Württemberg on 28.07.2013. The cell produced about 7 cm (2.8 inch) hail and did enormous damage (~600 000 000 €).

HP Superzelle über Kleinstadt Owen (östlich von Reutlingen), Baden-Württemberg am 28.07.2013. Die Zelle brachte ca.7 cm großen Hagel und richtete enormen Schaden an (~600 000 000 €).
Es war das zweitgrößte Hagelereignis in der Geschichte von Deutschland.
Spannende Perspektiven entdecken und umsetzen heißt es wenn du mit mir in Weimar auf Fototour gehst.
Die andere Sicht auf das alltägliche erlaubt es uns ein bisschen mehr zu träumen.

Nur wenige Minuten von unserer Wohnung aus gibt es vieles zu entdecken in der Altstadt Tortosa. Diese winzige Dachterrasse sieht vielversprechend aus.

Die Hamburger Innenstadt hat sich wieder in einen farbenfrohen Sommergarten verwandelt. Mit über 2000 Lampions am Ballindamm an der Alster oder 10.000 Metern buntem Schleifenband in der Spitalerstraße.
Bis zum 8. August kann man diese bunten Dinge in Hamburg noch entdecken.
Hamburg's city center has once again been transformed into a colorful summer garden. With over 2,000 lanterns on Ballindamm on the Alster or 10,000 meters of colorful ribbon on Spitalerstrasse.
You can still discover these colorful things in Hamburg until August 8th.

Not kidding anymore... it's getting intense between these two. You can see a small cut on ones trunk in the previous shot.
Those two really weren't holding back in that situation.
Malerisch umgeben von zwei Armen der Havel liegt die Freundschaftsinsel in der Mitte Potsdams. Berühmt wurde sie durch die 1937 von Karl Foerster angelegten Schau- und Lehrgärten mit mehr als eintausend verschiedenen Stauden und über 250 Schwertliliensorten im Wassergarten. Hier kann man nicht nur bei einen Spaziergang die Natur und Garten genießen, sondern auch zahlreiche Skulpturen gibt es zu entdecken. Nicht zu vergessen das Inselcafé und der große Spielplatz, wo man als Familie den Tag verbringen kann. Die Freundschaftsinsel ist ein kleines Paradies unter den Grünanlagen von Potsdam.

Picturesquely surrounded by two arms of the Havel, Friendship Island lies in the middle of Potsdam. It became famous through the show and teaching gardens created by Karl Foerster in 1937 with more than a thousand different perennials and over 250 varieties of iris in the water garden. Here you can not only enjoy nature and the garden on a walk, but there are also numerous sculptures to discover. Not to forget the island café and the large playground where you can spend the day as a family. Friendhip Island is a small paradise among the green spaces of Potsdam.

on the marble tiled floor glass objects of the exhibition "Wunderglas" of the Venetian artists Laura de Santillana e Alessandro Diaz de Santillana
The Spanish Hall, built between 1569 and 1572, is one of the most important freestanding halls of the Renaissance. The picturesque lay-out of the 43-metre (141 ft) long hall is dominated by the 27 full-length portraits of the princely rulers of the Tyrol. Today rather famous classical concerts take place in this hall.
Der Spanische Saal unterhalb des Hochschlosses zählt zu den prächtigsten Saalbauten der Renaissance. Im Sommer erklingt darin Musik, etwa im Rahmen der “Ambraser Schlosskonzerte” und der “Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik”. Der Innenhof des Hochschlossen ist mit originalen Fresken gestaltetet. Das Renaissancejuwel mit seinem weitläufigen Park macht einen Besuch zum unvergesslichen Erlebnis!

I just love Waterbucks. One of my favourite Antelopes in Africa.
Getting those in that beautiful light was just perfect.
