When it comes to Düsseldorf and shopping, one may think of luxury fashion first and foremost. But the city is also a shopping paradise when it comes to culinary delights, as every visitor can see for themselves by strolling through Carlsplatz.
In the central square south of the old town, not only are exotic fruit, regional vegetables, freshly caught fish, meat and poultry, bread and cheese sold, but also delicatessen specialties that fit in every suitcase and are therefore ideal souvenirs: teas and herbs from all over the world, for example, spirits and mustard.
If you stroll through the aisles hungry, you won't stay long: In addition to Düsseldorf home-style cooking, there is also Italian, Indian, French and Persian food to be discovered. The market is open Monday to Saturday.
MEXICO, San Juan Chamula
The Chamula people have a very distinct culture. Most visibly, their religion, though considered Catholicism, is a blend of Christianity and Mayan traditions. Their main place of worship is the church of San Juan Chamula. If you get to know Chamulas a little more you might also witness some baffling features in their everyday life and value system: they have taken law into their own hands and sometimes use force to bring people to justice. At the same time you may find families who see children foremost as an economic burden or people who are willing to sell their children like some commodity not showing any emotional connection towards their children as they are making an offer to do so.

Love how strong and muscular this lioness is. Every pound is muscle and tells you, that you have a real predator in front of you.
Her pride took down an elephant the night before and I imagine, that she had a good portion in the hunt.
Chorin Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey in the eastern German state of Brandenburg, dating back to the 13th century. Today, it is being used as an open-air concert venue. During the course of its history, it underwent periods of neglect and decay so that not all the original buildings survived. Once abandoned by the monks, farmers in the surrounding villages used the abbey's bricks to build new homes. This is how the outside wall of the church above went missing.
Today, the Abbey is a listed landmark examplary for the Northern German brick Gothic style. It houses concerts and recitals and is intended to remain a “ruin under a roof ”.

EUROPE ...European Union
From a geological point of view, Europe is only the jagged foothills of a huge continental shelf.
People have been pushing on this peninsula for 3000 years. Something wonderful has happened: we have learned to deal with diversity!
The result is a unique patchwork carpet of cultures; A perpetual firework of art, science and thought.
The fruits of it are to be discovered - on this collage and at all!

I was so happy to find some wild orchids! It prefers full light on a dry calcareous substrate, for example, unfertilized lawns, meadows, edges and light woods.

Jeder davon wog knapp sechs Tonnen.

The world-famous Moai stone giants are at home on Easter Island and are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. An approximately 3.80 metre tall replica stands next to the Chilean Garden Cabinet. Two tuff stones were imported from Easter Island to Hamburg in 1999 to create the replicas. Each weighed almost six tonnes. The three sculptors Ana Ernestina Pont Hill, Jorge Eloi Tuki Pakarati and Luis Tomas Pate Rikoroko used traditional craftsmanship to create a total of two faithful replicas. One of them remains in Hamburg. The second moai is now on loan to the Museum am Rothenbaum Hamburg in the Gardens of the World on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Chile. 900 moai exist on Easter Island in total, the largest measuring 21.60 metres. The figures were created between 1250 and 1500 A.D. They have thick eyebrows, bulging lips, a pronounced chin and close-fitting arms - the Moai figures, which represent a revered ancestor, appear mystical and omniscient. ‘Moai’ means something like ‘to hold in honour’. The exact origin and purpose of the stone guardians is still a mystery to archaeologists.

Hamburg is forever the most beautiful town on the world, but in Germany is Munich the strongest competition. From a little hill in the Olympiapark area one have this view to the Olympic stadium and the sunset only in June, when the sunset is in a very north position.
Because i like sunset photography so much, I was excited to find this place during my one week trip to the city.
Pilze an Baumstämmen
If you look closely, you can discover them: mushrooms that grow on tree trunks do so in a wide variety of colors and shapes and thus become a unique work of art. Sometimes they are flat, sometimes round, sometimes they have the shape of a rose or a fan - if you keep your eyes open, you can admire their beauty in the forest. Incidentally, some of the tree mushrooms are also edible. As a layperson, it is better to keep your hands off the mushrooms, because not all are non-toxic: Poisonous mushrooms can also grow on tree trunks.
