Our speaker at Portland/CreativeMornings was Drew Endy, an engineer who loves building with biology. He took us on a tour of alternative biotechnologies, and challenged us to use design to break down barriers between "we the people" and the living world.

Opening reception of the exhibition “Honoring the Cuban Engineer” at the University of Miami’s Roberto C. Goizueta Pavilion. Organized by the Cuban Heritage Collection of the University of Miami Libraries with the Association of Cuban Engineers and the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers, the exhibition examines the history of engineering in Cuba and highlights the accomplishments of Cuban engineers in the diaspora. The exhibition will be on display through August 2014
