If I lived in Atlanta, I certainly would love taking engagement pics here! Piedmont Park

A few photos from an engagement session that I did for a couple of close friends. They're now happily married (and I'll eventually share a few of those images, too).
Image made with my Nikon F100.
I was lucky enough to be able to do an engagement shoot for this awesome couple in this beautiful property north of Tahoe with his moped and her horse.

I can't believe my long time babysitter/nanny is engaged to be married. Alyssa has been my only babysitter since she was 15. Conveniently, she was also my neighbor. Now she is all grown up and ready to get married! At the age of 24, people still think she's one of my girls when we go out and they even offer her a children's menu. This really burns her ! But I think it's hilarious and try to explain that she will learn to appreciate it someday. Anyway, we waited out some heavy thunderstorms in CT this AM, but we hade it! The photo session was a success and we got some great engagement shots! Alyssa is so damn beautiful. She is going to be a stunning bride! I need to help her find a GREAT photographer! Send all suggestions my way. Her wedding is in Simsbury, CT.
Back from Berlin - with a twist - I asked Jade to marry me on Christmas Eve and she said yes!
So now we're back in California, looking ahead to all the preparations to come. We're taking our time and planning to have the wedding in a year or so, after the London question is settled (i.e. whether we're moving there or not).
Berlin pictures are coming soon.

Back to flickr after a short break :-) Yeah, the reason is quite obvious. I got engaged to Swedha on the 7th of Aug,2008. We plan to get married on Dec 21st,2008, the Sunday before Xmas. Many said it's going to be a turning point in our life while some others jokingly said you should also be cautious while taking turns :-) Anyways I'm enjoying it...
Hoping to catch up with all your photos soon...Cheers

This was from todays shoot. Had to keep it simple and not show faces until the save the date cards are out. Also trying out the Wacom Intuous tablet. Harder than I thought it would be to use.

At Ellenroad Mill, Milnrow, Rochdale, the first Sunday of the month is 'steaming Sunday' when the big steam engines are powered up. Outside is this old equipment in slightly worse shape. It is being restored to make an outside display.
So this happened while we were in the Lakes!
It was a total surprise, I mean we where in the Lakes celebrating out 14th anniversary! (we started dating in our teens at college).
K was acting a bit weird but I thought nothing of it. He had set the p&s camera up to get pics of us with the lake behind us but was grumbling it was taking the pics too fast? (it has a 10 shot burst feature, we always use for family gatherings and yes it's usually much slower at taking those pics).
So on the 4th attempt when he got down on one knee I was taken a back! The little bugger got it all on video too, so that's caused many laughs with his family and my Mum & J (and happy tears too).
When we told his Nan (Maternal side) she was so happy, it was so wonderful to see. She kept hugging us both and holding our faces. We haven't seen her that happy since his Grandad was still with us (that's over 5 years). Friends and family are generally very shocked as it's not like us at all. There are still people we have to tell. Its just finding the right time to tell them.
