What I enjoyed in this moment was how the people stepped back in time for a few hours to experience a gathering of people with very little modern technology in sight. The weather was like a traditional one with huge flakes of snow coming down. There was a warm fire to keep us cozy while waiting for a ride on the horse drawn sleigh. But mainly I saw people engaged with each other or watching the activities going on around them. However you celebrate the holiday season, I hope you engage with people around you in real time and leave those "devices" only for capturing the good times around you in photographs!
My Baby - actually my oldest daughter but still my baby to me - got married! It was very hard not to have a camera in my hands during the wedding. (This is one of the engagement shots I took last summer.) ❤️
With the St. Paul Sub a little busy, East Hump DS gave this westbound Q a nice emerald highway straight up the Midway and towards their crew change at Northtown. Here they swing through the curve at St. Anthony with the dynos engaged.

So, I'm kind of behind in my uploading, but this kind of news needs to be announced! I'll get back to my regular uploading schedule soon. :)
In the meantime, we're engaged! Joey surprised me with a very excited proposal and a gorgeous ring tonight before we went out to dinner. It was so sweet. :) He designed the ring with the help of the jeweler down the street, and I really couldn't have designed a better ring for myself if I had tried. It's a band (which I wanted) with sapphires (I didn't want diamonds) and a star in the middle. While it's pretty and everything, the more important thing about it to me is that he designed it and knew exactly what I'd like. It really shows how thoughtful he is, and how much he knows and loves me.
We went to dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant, and coincidentally were seated at the table we sat at on our first date. That was nearly three years ago, and it was so nice to reminisce. We told the sushi chef and waitress and they were so excited and gave us hugs and extra food and ice cream. They are so awesome. :)
Happiest woman in the world right now. That's me. I get to spend the rest of my life with the coolest person I know. :D
And I'm adding this to TOTW because how many movies are about being engaged/married?! Seriously! So many. It totally works ... :) Plus, so many of my favorite Flickr people play TOTW, so yeah, I want to share my happy news with you guys and gals! :)
