Coyote turns around to check me out. Coyotes on the hunt came around today... saw four of them in a group. They were chasing rabbits. Don't think they caught one. This is the first coyote I saw and a rabbit chase followed. — in San Felipe, Baja California.
I happened to find the flowers of poppy on my home from father's house. I had never expected to see them so early this year.

The story again for those who didn't see the B&W version:
Two months ago when I was on a morning walk near home I had a close encounter with a yearling moose. It was really curious and kept following me around! It continued to eat calmly even when it was only 2-3 meters away. It even tried to walk all the way up to me, but since they can be dangerous I didn't let it, even though it didn't seem threatening at all. What a wonderful experience!

Two hummingbirds (Colibri thalassinus), having an encounter in the air, at the highlands of Costa Rica. Hummingbirds are aggressive for a good reason—they can't afford to share flowers during times when not many blossoms are available because they may have to wander a long way after nectar is depleted. This aggression is so deeply ingrained that they just can't figure out that feeders are different.

The other morning I was walking along the river channel at the estuary, and when I was behind a row of bushes and couldn't see the shoreline I noticed a series of rings on the water's surface coming from directly below me. Thinking it was a merganser I had been following, I got my camera handy and crept to the edge for a look. There was a large boulder I couldn't see behind, and that was where the disturbance was coming from. I popped my head up to look around it at the same instant this otter did, and we both were a little startled by each other!
I like the way he seems to pop into the frame rather unexpectedly, which is exactly what he did!

In an old office of the Ministry, the meeting with the team from the Ministry of the future took place. Alex was amazed and admired as he saw the woman crossing the strange portal with determination. He realized she held a peculiar object in one hand and wondered if it was the device that generated the interdimensional portals.
The woman exuded a unique blend of elegance akin to that of a party with exotic elements. Her attire combined shimmering fabrics with touches of vivid colors and striking ornaments, creating an image that seemed to be taken from a surrealist world.
The boss, Diego, briefly explained how the encounter with his future counterpart occurred. He also recounted that they were the ones who sought to contact the past once they had the appropriate technology. Apparently, a catastrophe had disrupted communications through the portals in their future, and only when they had the suitable technology could they return to the past.
They had been quite mysterious and cautious when talking about the history from their time to ours. Despite being asked to share portal technology, they had refused, arguing that it would interfere with the past...

I finally managed to get this image out of my head and on to a camera this evening!
The track leading up to a natural focal point and coinciding with the slope of the hill has caught my eye many times up on this hill in the Peak District. Tonight, I finally managed to be in the right place at the right time!
