I met this lovely pigeon when I walked through town to get to the park this morning. It's not the kind of pigeon you see every day in the streets of my hometown and so I took a few photos.

“La Carnia sarebbe più dolce se il primo paese non fosse amaro” dice un locale proverbio popolare. Amaro, il primo dei ventotto comuni che si incontrano entrando in Carnia dalla provincia di Udine, sorge sulla strada romana detta Iulia Augusta che congiungeva Aquileia con il Norico. Proprio per la sua posizione, si ritiene che qui, nell’antichità, ci fosse una stazione per il cambio dei carri e degli animali da traino.

“Carnia would be sweeter if the first town weren't bitter” (Amaro) says a local popular proverb. Amaro, the first of the twenty-eight municipalities that you encounter when entering Carnia from the province of Udine, is located on the Roman road called Iulia Augusta which connected Aquileia with the Noricum. Due to its location, it is believed that here, in ancient times, there was a station for changing wagons and towed animals.

A five second exposure at sunrise in Encounter Bay, South Australia.
On 8 Apr 1802 this bay was the meeting place of two great mariners. Matthew Flinders, in the 'Investigator' and Nicholas Baudin on the 'Le Geographe'.
Flinders named this area Encounter Bay after that chance meeting.

The main reason why this image is called ''Encounter'' is the ''strange face'' that I noticed while editing the image into dark dehaze. It's like a ghost of an unknown entity with a human face. But I am sort of dissapointed that noone noticed it:((
Here is Leo courageously exploring the wild nature of my roof terrace. I think he has taken a shine to the bamboo but he loves the other plants too. :)
On the edge of a mushroom an encounter between a very little animal and a tiny waterdrop and me looking at it through the eye of the camera. Found it this morning during a walk in the forrest.
Glad to be home again after a very intense origami-convention in Lyon ;-))
Throwback to two years ago - harsh winter weather in Lapland. We barely made our night train connection because the windshield wipers of the connecting bus had frozen and did not work. Luckily the driver got the help needed. After each snow plough that passed visibility was briefly reduced to none, driving in a cloud of snow.

A two shot Vertorama with24mm perspective control lens.
The lens focused on the foreground then shifted down. Then the lens is shifted up for the next shot.
No moving of the camera and the images stitch perfectly together.
I usually do 3 shot and all three fit seamlessly.
One of my favorite lens which I have had since 2013.
