French embroidery was the filter image used to make this Dreamscope image. I also used Oil Paint and some Topaz Clean to smooth out the lines.

The daughter of George and Elizabeth (Thaxter) Lane, Lucy grew up to be the first preceptress of Derby School and taught needlework to its female students. In 1796, the married Ephraim Andrew of Hingham, who owned the Old Ordinary.

I took my old Target dress and embroidered these Sweethearts of the Rodeo on the bottom. I borrowed heavily from Frederic Remington's painting "Turn Him Loose, Bill"...you can read more here, if you like:

After having finished to sew the body, the fun is beginning. My sister gave me the idea to embroider the eyes. After that, I will do the mouth and nose the same way, then find a way to draw some spots on her. :)
