The ninth in my series of embroidered Audubon birds. I chose to stitch him in his winter plumage since that is how he looks when I see him. He is much more colorful in the spring.

116 in 2016 #108 Shape with more than four sides

my shoulders ache now after an afternoon of hand stitching. I sewed button loops on a little YOSD dress set too. More pics tomorrow.

This is my first go at embroidery! It's far from perfect, but I'm excited about the possibilities.

I found some plans for a lego minifig while image searching for something, and who could resist stitching that? Imagine all the layers of geekiness in such an embroidery!

 

It's 20 x 21 cm and all made in split stitch and Holbein stitch.

Embroidered and applique fairy just waiting to be turned into something swell - this one will probably be a cushion cover.
