What a year it has been for full moons! This is a harvest moon taken earlier this year. Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas if you celebrate the holiday and for others, the New Year celebration will arrive soon!

What humans abandon, nature embraces, preserves and transforms into something very powerful and beautiful.
The transformational power of nature is unbeatable.
“Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.”

“I could taste the salt on her lips, each kiss like a summer wave breaking on an empty beach.”

As I was sitting there in the old garden greenhouse at B sori, there were many beautiful butterflies fluttering around me and outside the greenhouse.
How beautiful and vibrant they are I thought to myself, it made me think about how in many ways they can be seen as a symbol or reflection of life in itself.
The Butterflies were hovering above the vegetation spreading their wings, and gliding so graciously toward the flowers, the trees and light in the distance.
It also made me reflect about how fragile butterflies are, as life is too, it comes and it goes so quickly. Time is precious, therefore we must remember to enjoy what life and nature has to offer. We have to embrace each day before it flutters away just like the butterfly.

Sand Martin - Riparia riparia
The sand martin (Riparia riparia) or European sand martin, bank swallow in the Americas, and collared sand martin in the Indian Subcontinent, is a migratory passerine bird in the swallow family. It has a wide range in summer, embracing practically the whole of Europe and the Mediterranean countries, part of northern Asia and also North America. It winters in eastern and southern Africa, South America and the Indian Subcontinent.
The sand martin is sociable in its nesting habits; from a dozen to many hundred pairs will nest close together, according to available space. The nests are at the end of tunnels of from a few inches to three or four feet in length, bored in sand or gravel. The actual nest is a litter of straw and feathers in a chamber at the end of the burrow; it soon becomes a hotbed of parasites. Four or five white eggs are laid about mid-late May, and a second brood is usual in all but the most northernly breeding sites.

UK breeding:
100,000 nests
Spring has definately arrived and the cherry trees have started to bloom, soon to be followed by apple and pear trees. The meadows are full of flowers in all different colours! This is the most beauitful time of year in the area where I live. But it is also the most stressful, because it all happens in such a short time, and of course I want to spend as much time as possible outside capturing all this beauty.
This picture was taken last spring. This year, spring is 1-2 weeks earlier because of the mild winter.
Isolation is aloneness that feels forced upon you, like a punishment. Solitude is aloneness you choose and embrace. I think great things can come out of solitude, out of going to a place where all is quiet except the beating of your heart. -Jeanne Marie Laskas

I'm not gonna fight back what I've become
Yeah, I've got bruises where I came from
But I wouldn't change if I could restart
I ain't gonna hide these beautiful scars
I've been going way too hard on myself
Guess that it's the reason that I'm feeling like hell
But I wouldn't change if I could restart
I ain't gonna hide these beautiful scars

By now, most of you know how much I enjoy Canada’s Point Pelee National Park. Since I tend to go very early in the morning, my visits are solo, but my daughter Dayna joined me on a recent visit. I just could not resist the low, early morning sunlight at the marsh boardwalk, as she takes in the parks natural beauty.
