2019 English Christian Song | " God Has Brought Man Into a New Age" | Christian Hymns

God spreads His work among the gentile nations. His glory flashes through the universe. His will, embodied in scattered men, all steered by His hand, doing tasks assigned. Now He has entered into a new era, bringing all men into another world. This is a new age after all, and God has brought new work to take more new people into the new age and cast aside those He’ll eliminate. This is a new age after all.

When God returned to His “homeland,” He then began another part of His plan, that man could know Him more deeply. God regards the universe completely, He sees the right time for His work to be done. He hurries here and there, doing His new work on man. This is a new age after all, and God has brought new work to take more new people into the new age and cast aside those He’ll eliminate. This is a new age after all.

In the nation of the great red dragon, God has done work that cannot be fathomed, causing men to waver in the wind. As it blows, many quietly drift away. This is the “threshing floor” that God will clear. This is His plan, what He longs for. This is a new age after all, and God has brought new work to take more new people into the new age and cast aside those He’ll eliminate. This is a new age after all. This is the new age, this is the new age, this is the new age after all.

“Guys like Peter Karp, James Taylor, and Bob Dylan embody Americana Blues, and us English guys are inspired by it.”

[MICK TAYLOR – THE ROLLING STONES]

"Karp’s a great writer and performer whose songs are driven by verbal word play and insights into the human experience. Like James Taylor and Bob Dylan, Karp embodies Americana Music."

USA Today

"Karp’s one cool cookie, alright – from his muscular slide guitar soloing to his observational and oh-so-true songwriting and, most of all, soulful expressive voice of his, dripping with innuendo. Dude’s entertaining as hell."

Mike Greenblatt [Goldmine Magazine]

Got another chance to see my co-worker's band last night ...so so good ....and really should be playing to packed houses every time they take the stage... but instead, they play small venues in odd places, that are very personal. I never really cared for going to concerts, but I could listen to these guys every day! (of course, it doesn't hurt that Niles told me that Peter said that as long as I bring my camera, I get in for free! LOL! Fortunately Peter doesn't know that I suck at indoor photos and I know nothing about flash. I've got a lot to learn!) But it's been so much fun trying to get a few good shots, and being able to just plop myself down on the floor right in front of the stage. Having a camera is kind of like having a cloak of invisibility.... it pretty much lets you go wherever you want! How cool is that?! And then after the show, Niles introduces me to people and tells everyone that I shot the CD cover.... it's like being a celebrity! A really fun night.... hoping they will play locally again soon.

From last night... check it out!

Emberiza citrinella (Bruant jaune) - Allinges, Haute-Savoie, France, 2nd May 2025

Sometimes birds can be found where one least expects them, at least until we understand that some of them do not need a very extensive habitat (and this feature maybe explain why a species like this one is common and widely distributed).

This Yellowhammer, a male singer, was photographed in a gravel pit, surrounded by a few fields, some bushes, and clumps of trees. Based on his behavior, it is likely that he will spend the summer here to nest. I learned about this place by consulting observation data on a French website, otherwise I would have never gone there to observe the birds.

Gaining a bit of experience allows me to find the birds I am looking for and to make beautiful discoveries, embodied by this bird which is among the most colorful on the continent.

Lingyin Temple (simplified Chinese: 灵隐寺; traditional Chinese: 靈隱寺; pinyin: Língyǐn Sì) is a Buddhist temple of the Chan sect located north-west of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The temple's name is commonly translated into English as Temple of the Soul's Retreat, which is a literal translation of the Chinese. It is one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples in China, and contains numerous pagodas and Buddhist grottoes.

The monastery is the largest of several temples in the Wulin Mountains (Chinese: 武林山; Pinyin: Wǔlínshān), which also features many grottos and religious rock carvings, the most famous of which is the Feilai Feng (Traditional Chinese: 飛來峰石窟; Simplified Chinese:飞来峰石窟; literally: "the peak that flew hither").

According to tradition, the monastery was founded in 328 AD during the Eastern Jin dynasty (266–420) by an Indian monk, named Huili in Chinese. From its inception, Lingyin was a famous monastery in the Jiangnan region.

During the Cultural Revolution, the temple and grounds suffered damage at the hands of red guards, but the students of Zhejiang University tried to protect the temple. The temple managed to avoid large scale destruction partly because of the instructions of Premier Zhou Enlai.

Today the temple is thriving as a destination for both pilgrims and tourists. It is regarded as one of the wealthiest monasteries in China, and regular pilgrims have included former paramount leader Deng Xiaoping.

The Wuling Mountains area is a major centre of Chan Buddhism in south-eastern China. A number of smaller temples are also located in the area. Today, Lingyin and the surrounding areas are marketed as the Lingyin-Feilai Feng Scenic Area, with ticketed admission.

This stunning image features the Crested Caracara, scientifically known as Caracara plancus cheriway. The photograph was taken at the Avian Reconditioning Center in Apopka, Florida, a facility dedicated to the rehabilitation and education about birds of prey. The center serves as an ideal backdrop, emphasizing the bird's natural habitat and contributing to the aura of wild majesty that the Crested Caracara embodies.

The photograph is the work of Adam Rainoff, a photographer with a deep-rooted passion for avian life and conservation. Adam’s work aims to not only capture the beauty of these magnificent creatures but also to raise awareness about the importance of preserving their natural habitats. His commitment to conservation is evident in the way he meticulously frames each shot to tell a story, a narrative that he hopes will inspire others to take an interest in the natural world.

Heilongjiang Province, the most northeast part of China, when viewed on a map has the shape of a swan. Its capital city is Harbin, which is located south of Heilongjiang.

Not only for its special position, but also as the centre of Heilongjiang's political, economic, educational & cultural life, Harbin is described as the pearl beneath the swan's neck. Lying on the east of the Songnen Plain, what is more, Harbin plays a vital role in communications between South & North Asia as well the regions of Europe & the Pacific Ocean.

Harbin was the birthplace of Jin, 1115-1234 & Qing, 1644-1911, Dynasties, the latter of which had a very considerable influence on modern Chinese history.

At the end of the 19th century, Russia built the terminus of the Middle East Railway here. Later, more than 160,000 foreigners from 33 countries migrated to Harbin, promoting the development of a capitalist economy in the city. The economy & culture of Harbin achieved unprecedented prosperity at that time & the city gradually grew into a famous international commercial port. Assimilating external culture, Harbin created its unique & exotic cityscape. The majestic St. Sofia Orthodox Church & Zhongyang Dajie each built in a European style have the effect of bringing you into an 'eastern Moscow'. Even though you are sure to be attracted by various exotic buildings, the Dragon Tower which embodies the wisdom of the Chinese people is a must on your journey.

Besides these rich cultural heritages, Harbin is favoured with beautiful natural scenery. Based on meandering Song Hua River & subject to severe low temperatures in winter, down to -30°C, when I took this Pictures the Temperature varied between -20°C & -26°C but dry air, Harbin boasts a unique ice & snow culture. So, Harbin is also called the "Ice City".

The impressive "Ice & Snow Festival" is the greatest & unusual one in the world, therefor Harbin is also called the "Ice City".

As well the large Siberian Tiger & white tigers research centre, with about 500 tigers & a few other species, does an important work to prevent this species from extinction. On Sunday I read an article in which Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London likened Scottish Nationalism (embodied most readily by Independence for Scotland, I assume) to racism.

www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/scottish-nationa...

At first, I assumed this was merely inaccurate, biased, incompetent or malevolent reporting from an outdated mainstream media channel… it wouldn’t be the first time. Having read the (rather patchy) article, it is clear that the intention to brand Scots as racists is not clear-cut.

However, Scots seeking independence are likened to those who voted for Brexit, in that they seek to divide people (maybe along lines of race, income and class). Essentially, Khan says we must all move in the right direction, which I assume is to conform to his vision of Blairite Labour Party values in a Globalist World. A vision which he believes can be achieved by voting Labour in Scotland under the leadership of Kezia Dugdale, Sadly, for Mr Khan it appears the vast majority of the Scottish electorate thinks otherwise, which is why they have voted for the SNP overwhelmingly.

Of course that leaves the subject of the EU referendum. By insinuation if you voted for the UK to exit the EU, (52% of the UK electorate), you are tarred with the ‘Racism brush’. Being concerned about the Sovereignty, democracy, prosperity, security and values of the nation state in general and your own country in particular is NOT racist. The self-proclaimed or so-called ‘Progressives’ of this world have used the ‘R word’ so many times, especially when it does not even apply, that it no longer has any meaning or shock value in closing down any debate. We should all be grateful for that.

However, in closing I would like to offer this other frightening possibility. If people start disbelieving repeated meaningless accusations of racism this may harm society in that genuine examples of foul racism are over-looked. So, please, anyone reading this text, do not rush to judgement, consider the evidence presented to you, find more evidence and then come to a reasoned stance. Don’t just assume your side of the argument is the only valid one. Thank you for reading.

Louis XIV. initiated the project to build Les Invalides by an order dated 24 November 1670. The history of this beautiful site has been long and tumultuous to say the least. For me I was immediately struck in the same way I found myself being amazed by sites all over Paris. The age, grandeur, and beauty of the buildings and grounds feel overwhelming and perfect at the same time. As a photographer I found myself once again searching out a small detail or glimpse that embodied the feelings I had in the moment.

After developing the film in my darkroom I noticed the perfect silhouette of a blackbird that volunteered to model for my picture.

The building of the colonial period seems to embody the former greatness and spirit of the British Empire. Built in a neo-classical style, with Doric columns supporting a massive basement and a high portico in front of the main entrance, the building was the symbol of the entire Western civilization in Singapore - the "gateway of Asia". The building and the hotel are called "Fullerton" by Robert Fullerton, the first governor of the Straits Settlement. Singapore was the capital of British possessions in Southeast Asia and the governor required a residence corresponding to its status.

Essence is a gala gown that embodies the perfect balance between classicism and boldness. Its sculpted silhouette embraces the body with elegance, while the flowing skirt opens like a theatrical curtain. Embroidery and crystals, applied with sartorial precision, catch the light without ever flaunting it, turning every movement into a scenic gesture.

Essence is not just a gown — it is an identity. Everything about it speaks of a woman who knows how to be seen, but refuses to be defined. A woman who commands the stage without ever raising her voice.

Note: last frame is my Inspiration Maitre C.D. Even though I used AI for this video, the dress is identical to the original, except for the train, which being Mesh is not flexi.

This building perhaps embodies Dunedin's wealthy inheritance. During the city's most prosperous years this railway station was the country's busiest, handling up to 100 trains each day.

Though there have been many debates about whether the building is actually beautiful or not, the overall effect is undeniably grandiose and the station is New Zealand’s most photographed building.

Construction began in 1903 and the station was officially opened in 1906. Dunedin's fourth railway station, it was designed in the fashionable, desirable and highly expensive Edwardian Baroque style. Unusually though, architect George Troup uses an experimental collaboration of Classical and Neo-Gothic imagery, which creates a grand and classically regimented structure, with an assorted and asymmetric countenance.

I love the positivity Emmet embodies.

Neuschwanstein embodies both the contemporaneous architectural fashion known as castle romanticism, and King Ludwig II's enthusiasm for the operas of Richard Wagner. At the time of King Ludwig's death the palace was far from complete. He slept only 11 nights in the castle.

"A New Perspective"

Artist: Melissa Kempf

Location: YWCA St. Thomas-Elgin, 16 Mary Street W, St. Thomas, ON

Inspired by one of my favourite Austrian artists/architects Friedensreich Hundertwasser, this work challenges the viewers imagination and concept of reality through the creative use of form and colour.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see the world in a new light? What comes after your darkest days? What it would be like if your future was filled with bright opportunities?

This work represents a different view, a new perspective on the world that YWCA St Thomas Elgin brings to each resident, client and learner; bright horizons and infinite possibilities.

Born and raised in Brantford, Melissa completed her studies of Art and Art History at McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario. Through four years of intense study in both fields Melissa came to better appreciate the artists of the past and those of the future. With an interest in nature and all things majestic and beautiful, she continues to create works of art that invoke emotion, passion and thought in the viewer. Many of her works embody imagery of fairies, nature and the human figure. She captures the warm yet delicate feeling of flight in works done in soapstone, paintings and printmaking. Her pieces play with the notion of weightlessness juxtaposed with the heavy material of soapstone from which they are created.

Working with clients to determine what their emotions, passions and thoughts are, Melissa can create custom works of art or offer pieces already created. From Hamilton, Melissa travelled to London where she studied Interior Design at Westervelt College. After this she had the opportunity to work for a builder where she was able to further her knowledge of the use of line, texture and colour while aiding home owners in decorating their new homes. Following 8 seasons as Theatre Manager at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre, she is currently working at YWCA St.Thomas-Elgin and living in St. Thomas.

“Wanderings”

Artist: Christina Guenther

Artwork: Fibreart

Location: YWCA St. Thomas-Elgin, 16 Mary Street W, St. Thomas, ON

When I create art, I wander, whether it is with a needle and thread, a paintbrush and paint or pencil and paper. For me it is the act of creating that is important. As a teacher and mom with young kids, it is necessary for me to dedicate time to the act of making.

"Wanderings" is a piece that is inspired by the prairie landscape that I grew up in and came back to after wandering.

Built in 1954, Étoile Molène embodies the soul of traditional Breton sailing boats. This tuna dundee, born from the Keraudren shipyards in Camaret, is designed to alternate between tuna fishing in the Bay of Biscay and trawling in the Irish Sea. For more than a decade, it criss-crossed the Atlantic, inscribing its trail in regional maritime history and testifying to the intense activity of Breton ports.

With the arrival of motorized boats and the evolution of fishing techniques, working sailboats like Étoile Molène are facing a new era. Some disappear, but others, like this dundee, find a new vocation, thus preserving a valuable maritime memory.

The Wonder Bread Factory, 356 Fougeron Street, is an industrial bakery built from 1914 to 1915 and designed by architect and engineer Corry B. Comstock. The plant, closed in 2004, is associated with Ward & Ward Incorporated and the Continental Baking Company, maker of iconic American products Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes. An icon of the Buffalo Belt Line, the Wonder Bread Factory is an excellent example of restrained classicism applied to early twentieth century fireproof factory architecture, embodying what architectural historian Betsy Hunter Bradley identified as an industrial ideal of "beauty based on function, utility, and process."

Shibuya Crossing, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.

If you want to see how organized or how courteous or for that matter how much Japan in general embodies its basic civic virtues in public, all you need to do is to stand on a corner at Shibuya Crossing and watch the organized chaos unfold repeatedly. It is believed that Shibuya Crossing is the world’s busiest, and most crowded pedestrian crossing, and yet it works like clockwork, as if everyone crossing there were predrilled and trained to systematically execute this mess! All the traffic lights in every direction at this intersection turn red at the same time. This lets pedestrians cross in all directions at the same time, creating a mass chaos of pedestrians crisscrossing all at once. This chaos comes to a sudden stop when one of the traffic lights turns green. The sidewalks swells with the patient crowds waiting eagerly to participate in the next chaotic crisscrossing opportunity, and when the lights turn red, they all do it again. This continues until Tokyo metro stops running for the day and when the nearby Shibuya Station closes its operations. Needless to say, it is a perfect place for a self-portrait or a selfie or simply a place to stand and reflect!

It lasts from January to late February every year with Zhao Lin Park as its designated location. Ice-lanterns can date back to ancient times. It was said that some fishermen made rough and simple ice-lanterns made of ice just for lighting. With the time passed, ice-lanterns embodied their cultural features and artistic fascination gradually. The making of ice-lanterns and ice sculptures started in the 1960s.

This immersive experience weaves together tukutuku panels, handcrafted pou, a sensory touch wall, and a mesmerising light and soundscape. Drawn from taonga tuku iho (ancestral treasures passed down), it invites you to take off your shoes, slow down, and enter a space for dreaming.

The artists describe Wharenui Harikoa as “a refracting prism of tūpuna-inspired light that shines across the sky like a rainbow. Our practice is grounded in one central kaupapa; to transform intergenerational trauma into deeply felt joy, one loop at a time”.

Inspired by the stories of Matariki and Te Whānau Mārama (the celestial family), this is the first time the Wharenui will stand while Matariki is visible in the night sky — a powerful moment to honour the past, celebrate the present, and dream boldly for the future.

Purple embodies the balance of red’s stimulation and blue’s calm. This dichotomy can cause unrest or uneasiness unless the undertone is clearly defined, at which point the purple takes on the characteristics of its undertone. With a sense of mystic and royal qualities, purple is a color often well liked by very creative or eccentric types and is the favorite color of adolescent girls.

HOW THE COLOR PURPLE AFFECTS US PHYSICALLY

Uplifts

Calms the mind and nerves

THE MEANING OF PURPLE AROUND THE GLOBE

In Thailand, purple is worn by a widow mourning her husband’s death.

The purple in the U.S. military Purple Heart award represents courage. The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the United States armed forces who have been wounded in action.

In Tibet, amethyst is considered to be sacred to Buddha and rosaries are often fashioned from it.

A man with the rank of Roman Emperor was referred to as “The Purple” — a name that came from the color of the robe he wore.

In Japan, the color purple signifies wealth and position.

Purple was the royal color of the Caesars.

In pysanky, the traditional Ukrainian form of egg dying, purple speaks of fasting, faith, patience, and trust.

Purple denotes virtue and faith in Egypt.

In Tudor Britain, violet was the color of mourning, as well as the color of religious fervor.

Traditionally, in Iran, purple is a color of what is to come. A sun or moon that looks purple during an eclipse is an omen of bloodshed within the year.

From an astrological perspective, the color violet in all its shades and gradations is usually associated with the dreamy and creative pisces (I am :-)). Their ruling planet is Neptune - the planet of fantasy, enlightenment, transcendence.

"Gottlieb" 371.201, bastard, jehož pohnutej osud tuhle přezdívku naplnil měrou vrchovatou, vede kousek před Lovosicemi lehce zpožděný vlak EC 177 Johannes Brahms z Berlína do Vídně.

Zlom. Vlevo ještě stará, snad dobrá doba, vpravo ta nová, kterou ještě zhodnotit úplně nedovedeme.

****************************

It was around then, I would say when I am asked when the "classic era" or "golden era" of Czech railways ended. Spring 2010, for sure. And this picture embodies it almost ideally.

It is March 7th 2010 and "Gottlieb", a truly unique Class 371 locomotive hurries with slightly delayed EC 177 Johannes von Brahms from Berlin towards Vienna, but now it has still a long way to go. At half past 4 PM I met her in the vicinity of Lovosice, leaving the most beautiful scenery called Porta Bohemica. If you hear this for the first time, do not hesitate to come to see it.

Well, those trains... Whole Class 371 is dubbed as "Bastards", originally owing it to less advanced resistor-type regulation, compared to much modern classes in the same body built at the same time. But 371.201 is a double bastard. Class 371/372 was developed in the 1980s as a joint locomotive for Eastern Germany and Czechoslovakia to serve the dual voltage track from Dresden to Prague. This particular one started its career on the German side, but sometime around year 2000 she was handed over to Czechs as a compensation for the one that suffered a heavy damage on the German soil. Since then she carries some differences in equipment and for a few years she also bore just a modified German red coat, which was allegedly pretty sensitive thing for some people in the Czech railways. In 2009/2010 she was the first one of the class chosen to receive the new light grey-blue livery.

In the end, this is the real pivotal moment. Divided by the traction pole, whole rear part of the train is still somewhere around year 2k, while the front part is absolutely contemporary. All that on the most beautiful day, when the winter broke back even into these lowlands. How improbable was this?

The Free Life Pond is an annex pond of the Han Chinese Buddhist temples. It is usually located in front of the Shanmen or the Hall of Four Heavenly Kings. The Free Life Pond embodies Buddhist thoughts of compassion and understanding of all living beings.

The Free Life Pond can regulate the air, inhibit dust, but also has the role of fire prevention. If the Buddhist temple is on fire, the water in the pond can be used to fight the fire.

You see I know change

I see change

I embody change

All we do is change

Yeah, I know change

We are born to change

We sometimes regard it as a metaphor

That reflects the way things ought to be

In fact change takes time

It exceeds all expectations

It requires both now and then

See although the players change

The song remains the same

And the truth is

You gotta have the balls to change

Wikipedia :

Serge Gainsbourg (born Lucien Ginsburg, 2 April 1928 – 2 March 1991) was a French singer, songwriter, pianist, film composer, poet, painter, screenwriter, writer, actor and director. Regarded as one of the most important figures in French popular music, he was renowned for his often provocative and scandalous releases, as well as his diverse artistic output, which embodied genres ranging from jazz, mambo, world, chanson, pop and yé-yé, to rock and roll, progressive rock, reggae, electronic, disco, new wave and funk. Gainsbourg's varied musical style and individuality make him difficult to categorize, although his legacy has been firmly established and he is often regarded as one of the world's most influential popular musicians.

His lyrical works incorporated a vast amount of clever word play to hoodwink the listener, often for humorous, provocative, satirical or subversive reasons. Common types of word play in his songs include mondegreen, onomatopoeia, rhyme, spoonerism, dysphemism, paraprosdokian and pun. In the course of his career Gainsbourg wrote over 550 songs, which have been covered more than 1,000 times by a wide range of artists. Since his death, Gainsbourg's music has reached legendary stature in France, and he is regarded as one of France's most revered musicians. He has also gained a cult following in the English-speaking world, with numerous artists influenced by his arrangements.

Figureheads are the carved wooden sculptures that decorate the prows of sailing ships. In the perilous life of an ocean-going ship, figureheads embodied the spirit of the vessel, offering the crew protection from harsh seas and safeguarding their homeward journeys.

As such, they were often lovingly cared for by the crew. The superstitions of seamen meant that the figurehead held great significance to those on board and they would go to great lengths to protect it.

Figureheads were often female but not exclusively so. A female may have been popular because the ship itself is always referred to as a ‘she’. As women were often not allowed on board, the figurehead itself might also represent the sole female on the ship.

The origins of the figurehead and other forms of ship decoration goes back thousands of years. The decoration and carving of vessels was common among seafaring civilisations of the ancient world, with evidence of Egyptian figureheads dating back to around 3000 BC.

The precise motive behind mounting a carved figurehead at the bow of a ship or boat is uncertain. It is believed these iconic objects held a strong magical or religious significance relating to a ship 'seeing' its way safely through the sea.

My dearest Weeping Willow

Why do you cry?

Why do those silver tears

Fall from your eyes

To soak into your roots

And stain the ground with moist.

Your branches are awaying silently

Not a sound to be heard

Not the rustling of leaves

Nore the singing of the walk

Just the hushness, and still

As the Willow gently weeps

Just swaying in the unseen wind

So won't you tell me, Weeping Willow

What secrets do you keep?

Why do you hide

Behind a veil of tears

Which stop only briefly

Before they start a fresh

Oh, Weeping Willow

Please don't cry

Please dry your eyes

For soon the sun will come

To brighten up the skies

And bring for you

The sweetened song of lullaby

The flourishings of colours

Flowers, sunshine, warmth and light

To wrap around those branches

To embody you with love

And pray you never weep again.

The Silver Orchid Order - Past And Future by Daniel Arrhakis (2023)

With the music : Ecclesia Universalis · Metatron Omega/ Illuminatio / Cryo chamber

youtu.be/G3nOXMlo0Oo?list=OLAK5uy_lASEE-joWIGuAHUghhdC8FD...

In the Past was a Military Order of fearless and courageous warriors who protected the innocent against Tyrant Lords, their symbol a silver orchid that they wore always around their necks.

His mystic faith was governed by Dharyehl's Commandments, the end of usurpers and tyrants their primary mission ...

This elite guard has as its patron Saint Michael, whose symbol is often tattooed on body.

There are strict relationships between three orders that in the past have worked closely together The Order Of The Green Scarab, The Order Of The Silver Orchid and The Order Of The Sword Of Saint Michael.

The first, the Order Of The Green Scarab is very ancient and which initially dates back to ancient Egypt, their members are able to recognize the so-called "Cyclic Spiritual Identities" or "Returners", spiritual identities that return at different temporal moments and that can have a global or local repercussion of beneficial or harmful change.

The Order Of The Sword Of Saint Michael / "The Dragon Knights"

The representatives of this mystic military secret order were once known as "The Dragon Knights" and has as its demand the search for the Sword of Saint Michael.

Over the centuries it has sponsored the best masters of steel with the aim of creating the perfect sword whose blade could embody mystical powers. Many of the best spread to the various empires where they taught their art, including Asia.

In addition to the steel arts, they teach their disciples the various techniques in the handling and use of swords. Nowadays, some masters are integrated into fencing schools while secretly honoring the sacred vows to the order.

Their relationship with the Order of the Silver Orchid has always been very close, being the main instructors of the guardians or warrior monks.

What unites them, in addition to being governed by similar principles, is the non-use of firearms and the secrecy of their actions.

The events of the beginning of the 21st century, and in particular the political upheavals and military conflicts that followed, once again highlighted their importance and necessity.

Therefore, in the future, both its implementation and its revival are urgently needed, not least because new and greater dangers are written on the horizon of what the Last Times may be.

Tbilisi is the capital and largest city of Georgia, situated in the eastern part of the country on the banks of the Kura River. With a rich history spanning over 1,500 years, Tbilisi has been shaped by numerous cultures and civilizations over the centuries. The old part of Tbilisi, known for its charming architecture and unique atmosphere, is one of the most captivating areas of the city. In contrast, the Peace Bridge is a strikingly modern architectural marvel and one of Tbilisi’s most recognizable landmarks. Completed in 2010, the bridge was designed by Italian architect Michele de Lucchi, with lighting by French designer Philippe Martinaud. It spans the Kura River, connecting the old town with the newer districts, and serves as an important pedestrian route and a symbol of the city. The bridge’s design is particularly remarkable, featuring a glass canopy that curves gracefully over the walkway. Often compared to a giant glass wave or a sea creature, the canopy is made of steel and glass and is illuminated at night by thousands of LED lights. These lights create a breathtaking visual display and are programmed to transmit messages in Morse code, conveying universal symbols of life and peace. The Bridge of Peace is not only a functional structure but also a symbolic monument. It embodies the connection between the old and modern parts of Tbilisi and serves as a metaphor for the city’s progress toward peace and unity. The bridge is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, offering stunning views of the city, including the nearby Narikala Fortress, the Presidential Palace and air balloon.

The Peace Bridge in Tbilisi, Georgia, is located in the heart of the city, spanning the Kura River. Its futuristic design stands in sharp contrast to the surrounding historic architecture, making it a powerful symbol of Tbilisi’s dynamic blend of tradition and modernity. The air balloon in Tbilisi offers a unique way to view the city from above, providing passengers with panoramic views of the capital's historic and modern districts. Located near Rike Park, the balloon ascends to a height of around 150 meters, offering an unforgettable experience and stunning perspectives of iconic landmarks like the Narikala Fortress and the Peace Bridge. It’s a popular attraction for both tourists and locals looking to experience the beauty of Tbilisi from the sky.

Perhaps no flower embodies the rugged spirit and natural beauty of New Hampshire like the beloved lupine. Each June, these three-foot-tall purple, pink, and white wildflowers shoot up through the rocks of the craggy mountain sides marking the unofficial start of summer.

And as the lupines sprout up, so do the photographers. These flowers are a staple of every regional landscape photography calendar, the darlings of every wannabe instagram influencer, and an emerging hot spot for portrait and even dog photographers. Given their natural beauty, it's difficult to make a really bad photograph of the lupines. At the same time, given the volume of lupine photographs made each year, it's difficult to make a really good photograph that stands out.

On the morning I made this photograph, I found myself in a lupine field along with a growing number of photographers, despite my 4:00 am alarm clock. The conditions were pleasantly foggy and a little hazy due to the recent Canadian wildfires, which afforded me some distinctive atmosphere that I hadn't found in prior years photographing the lupines. Nonetheless, I hadn't found a photograph that felt truly unique until this little bird swooped into a vertical lupine, expertly estimated the stem's tensile strength, and transformed it into a perfect little perch. Thanks to the Merlin Bird ID app on my phone, I later learned that she is a Savannah Sparrow. While the lupines had a lot of visitors that morning, not all of them were human. I managed to make a few frames, and then she was off.

This image captures the historic stone bridge spanning the rapid Tagus River in Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Spain, taken in April 2024. The medieval architecture of the bridge and surrounding fortified walls reflects the city's rich heritage. The river flows powerfully beneath, surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic cliffs. The elevated old town, with its ancient buildings and towers, overlooks the scene, embodying centuries of Spanish history and culture.

This snowflake embodies so many things, both in the art of capture and the magic of physics. A dense and infinitely detailed beauty. View large!

This snowflake means a lot to me. I was very tired when I went to go and shoot this snowflake, at the tail end of a beautiful snowfall providing giant crystals. Most were asymmetric in some way, but a final look discovered this gem: one of the last to fall, and one of the most balanced. After photographing this one, I was content to crawl into bed and call it a night.

Most of this snowflake features surface details facing the camera, and it brings up a choice: should you hide these features on the opposite side and clean up the surface? Or should you revel in the texture and complexity of such a detailed crystal? This snowflake allows for both, because a transition happened between front and rear detail just as the branches formed.

It’s not uncommon for the side featuring surface texture to shift, but it’s important to note that only one side will have these ridges and ridges at a time. The opposite side is always smooth and relatively uncluttered – at most featuring curved lines growing inward towards the center. The center of this snowflake features a smooth surface, accented beautiful by a gem-like hexagon created by crystal splitting.

“Crystal Splitting” happens when a cavity in the outward-growing side of a snowflake expands to cut the snowflake into two new planes – parallel and growing outward together. The usual outcome is that one plate will extend the footprint beyond the other, starving the competition of available water vapour (building blocks). One plate stays small, the other grows large, branches out, and becomes the snowflake shape we see. The smaller hexagon remains, growing slowly, and adds beauty to the center.

Sometimes after taking a test shot of a snowflake like this, I’d use my small artist paintbrush and flip it over – showcasing the smoother surface over the majority of the crystal and letting the larger geometry stay visible. Because of the center here, I left it as is – the “cluttered” detail exists in the branches, but it all leads back to a much more pristine center when the snowflake was younger. Yes, you can tell the entire history of a snowflake just my looking at it; looking back towards the center like you’re looking back in time.
