The Pump Room, with its Corinthian columns, glittering chandelier and spa fountain embodies what was once the heart of the Georgian social scene, when high society flocked to the city for the waters which they believed would relieve all their illnesses and discomforts.
Building began in 1789 and was completed a decade later. Whilst the Romans would have bathed in the mineral-rich water, it was the Georgians who began drinking it in the late seventeenth century. They came here to take the waters, which you can still do today.
The waters are pumped from the ornate King’s spring water fountain, overlooking the Roman Baths. Just inside the entrance to the Pump Room you might also notice a Bath Chair. Once a common sight in Georgian Bath, the Bath Chair was eventually replaced with the two-man Sedan Chair, and these were used to carry visitors to the waters.
Inside the Pump Room you will also see the statue of Richard ‘Beau’ Nash. Nash was a legendary gambler and socialite that played a key role in the shaping of Bath’s society and culture in the 1700s. He was also known as the ‘Master of Ceremonies,’ introducing a new form of social conduct to the city.
The novelist Jane Austen was very familiar with the Pump Room, and used it as a setting in her novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. It was the place where 'every creature in Bath was to be seen in the room at different periods of the fashionable hours'.
Today it is home to The Pump Room Restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, the Pump Room Trio or Pianist play every day for your enjoyment.

Knippelsbro, an iconic bridge in Copenhagen, connects the city center to Christianshavn over the harbor. Originally built in 1618 and later modernized in 1937, it is known for its distinct green towers and functional bascule design, allowing ships to pass through. Knippelsbro serves as a vital route for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, offering beautiful views of the surrounding harbor. The bridge is particularly captivating at sunrise, as the soft morning light enhances the green copper towers, creating a picturesque scene that embodies the charm of Copenhagen.

I contemplate streets, people and stones, between fictions and oblivion, inspired by the poet, perhaps, I perceive the shadows of the gestures of others, the poetry of twilight, a restlessness.

My little Paddington is a very curious bear. He likes wandering around the house and looking for "something interesting" .Especially happy he is when Old Gentleman we work for allows us "To sort out things" which include opening drawers and clearing out dust of stuff. Paddington was the one who found Forgotten Bears and with his help Bears are not forgotten anymore but proudly sit next to Old Gentleman's bed.
One day Paddington looked up to Art Books and noticed Someone sitting there.
" Good morning" Paddington said politely " Are you busy there? Shall I climb to you? "
"Good morning! What a nice surprise! For years I have not seen a new face in house. What you doing there? "
"I belong to support team" answered Paddington. "I support Ilona who cares for Old Gentleman".
"Come up then! I just finished to read and decided to have a little break."
" My name is Paddington and what is yours? "
" I am a Panda Bear and I belonged to the Lady who is not around anymore. Old Gentleman put me on this shelf closer to his art books so I have always something nice to look at. "

In the spring of 1937, England’s Merrythought Toy Company began marketing a collection of panda toys. Customers went wild. The very next year “panda fever” escalated across the UK and throughout the West when Ming-Ming became the first giant panda to settle in England.
Merrythought responded by introducing a new grouping of soft toy pandas as part of its 1939 product line — including the 13” example featured here. Described in company literature as a “pram [baby buggy] toy,” this furry creature embodies all the qualities that have kept the Merryhought factories humming since 1930!
Made of quality mohair, the toy is fully jointed and retains its original black felt paw pads, stitched nose and mouth and glass eyes. The toy’s squeaker is no longer working but it’s still there. As the photos show, this little panda retains the original Merrythought tag that was used prior to World War II, along with a tag that reads Merrythought hygienic toys Made in England. REGD. DES No. 82156 — indicating that this was a registered design. The gifted designer Florence Atwood was the head of design at the time, and this may be one of her creations

The Navajo Loop Trail at Bryce Canyon National Park is one of my favorite trails in the Southwest. I have visited this trail multiple times during two trips to Bryce Canyon. In today’s photo, I focused on a rock formation that separates part of the trail that offers a wide view into the canyon, from the narrow switchback section.
During my recent winter trip, I captured a vertical panorama of this massive rock formation just before sunrise. The challenge with this formation is that it is almost always in shadow during golden hour, creating a high-contrast scene as soon as the sun rises above the horizon. While I was waiting for the morning light to illuminate the hoodoos, I noticed the softer light on this rock. Since I had never seen it illuminated in this gentle light before, I decided to take advantage of the moment and capture a couple of photos. I’m certainly glad I did!

Flamingos are large birds that are identifiable by their long necks, sticklike legs and pink or reddish feathers. Flamingos embody the saying "you are what you eat." The pink and reddish colors of a flamingo's feathers come from eating pigments found in algae and invertebrates.
There are six species of flamingo, according to the Integrated Taxonomic Information System (ITIS): greater flamingo, lesser flamingo, Chilean flamingo, Andean flamingo, James' (or puna) flamingo and American (or Caribbean) flamingo.
The smallest of all Flamingos is the Lesser, and it is also the one that there is the most of. It is estimated that about 5 million of them reside in the world. They are found mainly in Africa and Asia. They are also one of the most common types of Flamingos in captivity due to their ability to adapt well to such environments.
Greater flamingos (Phoenicopterus roseus) are tall, pink bird in any given locale. They also have long, lean, curved necks and black-tipped bills with a distinctive downward bend.

I contemplate streets, people and stones, between fictions and oblivion, inspired by the poet, perhaps, I perceive the shadows of the gestures of others, the poetry of twilight, a restlessness.

This photo embodies my native country to me: traditional boats floating, lush green of the land, thatched roof houses and a vast river in the backdrop. It is taken close to my maternal grandfather's birthplace in southern Bangladesh.

And looking at this image now, I felt compelled to create a short verse to aid in my self-expression:
