Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

How else can you describe it. We had light rain overnight and ten minutes after this image I would seek refuge against a canyon wall for another fifteen minutes of light rain. I will try to shoot this again when there is more fall color.

There's nothing else I would rather do, unless there was a profession that involved cuddling bunny rabbits and kittens all day for money.
We have been enjoying some very welcome sunshine, though no real warmth as yet since the winds have mostly been off the sea. Yesterday, whilst much of the UK was enjoying 18-20C, it was 10C here! But we did have more hours of sunshine than anyone else!
However the sun has been bringing the hedgerows and blossom trees to life.

Camellia oleifera, which originated in China, is notable as an important source of edible oil (known as tea oil or camellia oil) obtained from its seeds.[2] It is commonly known as the oil-seed camellia or tea oil camellia, though to a lesser extent other species of camellia are used in oil production too.
It is widely distributed in China and is cultivated extensively there. It is found in forests, thickets, banks of streams and foothills at elevations of 500 to 1,300 metres.[3]
This species looks much similar to Camellia sasanqua except the dark green, evergreen leaves are a bit larger, three to five inches long and two to three inches wide. Single, white, fragrant flowers are produced in mid to late fall, and this large shrub or small tree will reach a height of 20 feet with thin, upright, multiple trunks and branches. The crown forms a rounded or oval vase with lower branches removed.[4]
The seeds of Camellia oleifera can be pressed to yield tea seed oil, a sweetish seasoning and cooking oil. In tea seed oil, oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid comprises ~80% of the total fatty acid content - the oil is similar in composition to olive oil.
Tea oil is also known as "Tea Seed Oil" when sold as cooking oil in supermarkets throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United States.[5]
It can also be used in textile manufacture, soap making and as an illuminant.[3] Camellia oil is also traditionally used to protect Japanese woodworking tools and cutlery from corrosion and is currently sold for that purpose.[6][

Saint Barbara's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic, and a stunning piece of architecture. Among the many things that makes it special is its wonderful roof. Tried a slightly different approach for the interior this time around. Following the principle of "photographing things for what they are, and for what else they are" the beautiful ceiling vault reminded me of a prawn, too.

My load today out of Phoenix fell through, and nothing else ready today. Anyway, used some of my time catching up a little on Flickr and a little on editing a few pictures.
I like how this Upper Antelope Slot Canyon shot came out, at least when viewing on my laptop, on the phone not so much.
Took a lot of pictures this day back in October of 2016, but haven't really posted that many of them, so guess I've got enough to spread out over the next few years.
Trying a new edit program, Luminar 3. Happy with Light Room, in fact used it some with this as well as the Luminar. Love Topaz, especially AI Clear, but nice to have options.
The sun needs to be directly over head to get sun rays in the canyons, and then it only lasts for a short time, plus the sun is only directly overhead a couple of months a year, May and June I believe. Well this was taken in October, no direct overhead sunlight. That's where Luminar comes in. It's got a really neat sun rays tool, very versatile and lots of control. Once I got the sun rays the way I wanted, I worked on the bottom area to make them look like they were hitting the sand directly below. That was the hardest part. If you're a purist, sorry to disappoint, but I'm trying to make mostly realistic looking images, but don't feel guilty about how I get there. I want to make my pictures unique and hopefully beautiful or at least interesting. So for me it's about artistic license, not a SOOC documentary of scenes. I could do that with my phone.

I’d noticed the striking white building with its handsome blue roof as we’d passed this way a day earlier, mustering our spirits as best we could under a grey, leaky sky that gave no hint of the beautiful evening we’d later enjoy by the side of the lake at Kirkjufell. I’d also spotted the rough pull in where the road snaked gently upwards through a patch of rocky scrub. “That might make for a shot,” was only the vaguest of thoughts as we passed through this remote area, heading for Arnarstapi and Dritvik Beach beyond. At this stage, the only thing we were certain of was that we’d passed the road that led to the Black Church of Budir and not taken it. And as we were following a circuit on the lonely road of West Snaefellsnes, we knew we’d need to be back this way the following day. That black church screams for attention you see. One of the most impossible to ignore hotspots on a peninsula that offers all sorts of possibilities.
So now we were here again, this time travelling anticlockwise on the most fantastic of coastal roads. Coming from a densely populated country where the sound of the internal combustion engine dominates almost every waking moment, driving here is an unrelenting joy. The Útnesvegur takes you through a brutal and dramatic landscape, where the story of Iceland’s violent volcanic birth is forever on show. In the far western reaches, we drove for miles, flanked by moss filled lava fields, roughly hewn and worn by the rages of a thousand winter storms, barely seeing any other vehicles at all. At times only the bulk of the ice clad Snaefellsjokull, rising mightily above everything else here seemed to anchor us to the land as if by some gravitational pull. A harsh elemental landscape in a time and place that has crept in under my skin and stayed there to settle into a contented glow that burns slowly within, forever calling me back. Having more time to explore on this, our second Icelandic adventure, was enabling us to see gems we’d had no time for on that dash around the ring road three summers earlier. You could easily fill an entire visit to Iceland with Snaefellsnes alone.
By now I was in a particularly fine mood. We’d already bagged compositions at half a dozen spots on this amazingly productive day as we made our way around the circuit. To add to the internal satisfaction levels, I’d also visited the fish and chip van at Arnarstapi. Let’s face it, if your stomach’s rumbling it’s game over on the photography front. Hunger is a big distraction when you’re trying to take epic photos. And now, a few minutes later after a spell in gastronomy heaven, here we were, pulled in at that patch of scrub and gazing at another epic vista, filled with more of those moss covered lava flows. And a handsome blue roofed building. And some other interesting stuff, I hope you’ll agree.
It was another Super Saturday moment, grabbed in a five minute roadside stop in the grand space between Arnarstapi and Budir. Well maybe a ten minute stop for a second layer to complete the twelve exposures for this handheld panoramic view that filled the space, tailing off into a hinterland of mountains rising from the red sands of the Snaefellsnes south coast under a huge gathering of heavy clouds that promised so much, and later delivered even more. It seems that wherever you stop - when you can stop - the chances are there will be something to fill the viewfinder with. Something that you perhaps didn’t see in a million other images when you planned your own adventures. Just like so many others, I love visiting the hotspots and trying to grab those memorable moments and record them forever. That’s what we were doing for most of our two weeks here, but I also find satisfaction in those impromptu moments when I see something else. And this is definitely an image I’d urge you to look at on the big screen if you can. “Best viewed large,” I sometimes read as I enjoy your stories. And you’re always right of course.

I found very funny, that local people referred to him like "Giorgio Cluni" and we were said that he liked that area so much that he had bought his own villa with Lake view.

In my case I went for a drive in the country and found Schotts Lane, a narrow suburban laneway that had a hidden gem, some stunning colourful trees that adorned the lane.
