White Azaleas in my front yard. The spring azaleas are blooming profusely in the front garden. Both red(ish) and white. The entire shrubs were covered with beautiful blooms. This is one shot of many.

My mind was into this...and nothing else mattered :)

Sometimes, just for a few minutes (never more than 2) I would like to be someone else

Lyon

Rien d'autre

Does anyone else like scrambling through driftwood to see what they can find? Enroute to Tomahawk Island in the distance.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to comment on my photos, they are greatly appreciated!

I was looking at something and saw something else and suddenly I was taking another picture. Guess my brain's heading in a particular direction right now, eh?

I wish you all a good new week :)

NEW: "i love your work 22"

So close, no matter how far

Couldn't be much more from the heart

Forever trusting who we are

And nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way

Life is ours, we live it our way

All these words, I don't just say

And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you

Every day for us something new

Open mind for a different view

And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do

Never cared for what they know

But I know

So close, no matter how far

It couldn't be much more from the heart

Forever trusting who we are

And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do

Never cared for what they know

But I know

I never opened myself this way

Life is ours, we live it our way

All these words, I don't just say

And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you

Every day for us something new

Open mind for a different view

And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they say

Never cared for games they play

Never cared for what they do

Never cared for what they know

And I know, yeah, yeah

So close, no matter how far

Couldn't be much more from the heart

Forever trusting who we are

No, nothing else matters

(Flickr Friday: #223 On The Side Of The Road)

According to the current theme, I was supposed to take a photo of something beautiful or interesting on the side of the road. I chose this tanker truck because of its mirror effect.

De acuerdo con el tema propuesto para esta semana, tenía que tomar una foto de alguna cosa bonita o interesante que estuviera al lado de la carretera. Escogí este camión cisterna por su efecto espejo

This photo has been selected by Flickr, among other submissions to the Flickr Friday Group Challenge, to be part in a gallery :-) You can find here

Does anyone else find themselves drawn to the edges? For me, the edges are where the magic happens. The places where different worlds collide, like where the oceans meet the shore or where the sea meets the sky. The edges where seasons intertwine, as winter gives way to spring - like here tomorrow. The borders where the comforts of civilisation fade into the simplicity of off-grid camping, where night surrenders to daylight. And my favorite edges: where the known brushes against the unknown, introducing you to something new and exciting. Edges make me feel alive.

So, what’s with all this edge nonsense? I’m setting off tomorrow on a too-short 10-day adventure with a good friend, trading my beloved Central Coast beaches for the NSW outback. We’ll be camping in our swags, journeying through the sparse Australian bush, exploring new places, seeking out billabongs, and embracing whatever nature throws our way (hopefully avoiding any wildlife on the road). I’m looking forward to chilly nights around a campfire, gazing at light-pollution-free skies, and, of course, capturing it all through the lens of trusty old Olympus.

Stay safe, everyone, and see you in a couple of weeks!

PS - how inviting is this view when you emerge from the short bushwalk onto Pelican Beach, I had no idea which way to run manically taking photos ;)

Ferrari 275 GTB/4, one of the best things I have seen on public streets. Unfortunately, there were a lot of motion sensors around the car, price is around $4,000,000.

One out of 280.

There was a super-bright rainbow going on behind me but the prismatic effect of these raindrops was something else...!!!

"Don't know how else to say it

I don't want to see my parents go

One generation's length away

From fighting life out on my own

Stop this train

I want to get off

And go home again

I can't take the speed it's moving in

I know I can't

But honestly, won't someone stop this train?"

With hunger and thirst quenched, but still intrigued by the scent of perfume, and with everything else around me, I decided to walk towards the building I had seen when I arrived. I had seen the "Motel" sign and that meant there would be rooms with beds to sleep in. I really had to rest even if it was just one night. I was tired and feeling the effects of the "Mojito" (I exaggerated the amount of the Run lol), I managed to find the "Motel".

It was a slightly dilapidated building, with an architectural mix of a building from the old west movies, and with some similarities to certain tropical places I've been to throughout my travels around the world. But I didn't care what the building looked like, I just wanted to find a room that had a shower and not even a mattress mattered... The effects of the "Mojito" were getting stronger.

I noticed that there were rooms on the ground floor and the 1st floor, but unfortunately for me, the rooms on the ground floor had their doors locked... yes, they had beds... but I didn't feel good about myself if I had to I had to break down a door, so I looked for a way to get to the top floor, I discovered some access stairs... maybe I would have better luck finding a room upstairs.

To be continued...
