Best seen on a large screen to see the dry brush effect that was used, as well as a few other sliders. The original was an interesting shot but this really punched it up!
Happy Sliders Sunday!!
Thanks for your views, faves and comments :)
“Nature can put on a thrilling show. The stage is vast, the lighting is dramatic, the extras are innumerable, and the budget for special effects is absolutely unlimited.” ~ Yann Martel
From the archives....I must have hundreds of images I've never processed or posted, and every once in a while, I come across something that makes me appreciate my own Midwestern surroundings a little more :-) Have a great Monday, and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments!!!! Will catch up with everyone soon.

spring fever in march drives me crazy BUT the changing angle of the sun makes for some cool effects...and nice long shadows.

I won't post a lot of effects pictures, but I am just learning some of this stuff and I really liked this one. It came from a photo I took the other night. That picture is posted as well, but is not as exciting.
Still down beside the lake just after sunrise. The water was so still it did odd things to the shoreline.
NYC, Chambers Street Station in the Background
Effects using Photoshop and Topaz software.
Photoshop Elements 6: 1) Selected the skateboarder and made a new layer by copy
2) Used Filter-->Blur-->radial blur-->zoom, for background
3) Put the skateboarder layer on top of the blurred layer
Topaz Adjust: Don't remember what effects I used. but they were different for the boarder and the background, maybe "dramatic".
Woo Hoo! This photo made Explore!

Too cloudy again for any sunset captures this evening so I have posted another taken yesterday at Sandy Point, Hayling Island, Hampshire.
Continuing with my experiments using a Lee Big Stopper 10 stop filter creating very long exposures for sunset photography this image was taken about 20 minutes before the sunset and shows the sun disappearing behind the clouds and the groyne disappearing in the sea!
I feel the long exposure has created interesting effects in the sky due to the cloud movement during the exposure together with some milky smooth water!
240 seconds exposure using Lee Big stopper 10 Stop ND filter + 0.9 ND grad filter over the sky.
Thanks for any comments you may wish to leave.
Presentation is what it's all about sometimes, and Millennium Gold was the perfect subject to pull this off.
