You can highlight a particular color in your image to get a bleached effect quite easily in Photoshop. You don't have to be an expert. The tutorial is here:

Baby hanar are pretty cute! And they came with care instructions:
* Baby hanar typically require a great deal of positive reinforcement and snuggles.
* Do not overfeed young hanar as they tend to get bloated and overweight. Obese hanar are occasionally mistaken for balloons or pinatas.
* Hanar are habitually polite. While fun, please do not try to enrage the hanar. They are poisonous and actually quite strong.

Used photogene, effect touch, and brushes apps on my iPad...
The was my first try doing the holo effect. I have since learned a lot, as each time I do it I learn a little bit more. Even though this is uneven, I still like this one the best because the colors are just alive when you move it back and forth.
