The Community Meeting Room was packed on June 13, 2023, as educators and awardees including Lexie Thompson and Brandon Ormbrek (Outstanding Students from BES, Anna Arriaga-Martinez (Outstanding Student from Panorama), Rhys Humphrey and Jasmine Lee (Oustanding Students from Lipman), Leticia Gonzalez (Outstanding Educator), and Brisbane Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Education Award Recipients Kayhan Kolhatkar, Benjamin Johnson, Abbey Connolley, William Wilder-Smith, Gavin Wang, and Avalon Ibarra were recognized before their friends and family. Thank you to the Chamber for hosting this event, Golden State Lumber for sponsoring it, and Rich Borghello for being the evening’s featured speaker. Congratulations to all the award recipients!

The Valdosta-Lowndes Retired Educators Association meeting was held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Holiday Inn in Valdosta, GA. The legislators were present to answer questions before the business meeting and delicious lunch buffet was enjoyed by many.

Every year, the College of Education hosts a social for Pullman-area educators, with whom the college has a special relationship.

The Education Department at the University of Saint Mary gathered to recognize its teacher candidates and M.A. in Education Candidates on May 5, 2015.

 

The program included inspirational words from 2014 Kansas Teacher of the Year, Jeff Baxter, and Alum of the USM teacher education program and 2015 Horizon Award winner, Nichole Gurwell.

Our educator Claire placed FIRST in Female and in her age group for the 10K!

Educators get hands-on experience playing a game called "Who Can Harvest a Walleye" that shows how factors affecting lower parts of the food chain can affect higher levels as well.
