The original colour version of a previous upload taken at a workshop session with my local camera club. This is an Edison Standard Phonograph manufactured by Thomas A Edison c.1900 at Orange N.J. USA. It plays cylindrical grooved "records" (in the cases in front of the machine) and is clockwork driven. This one belongs to a work colleague of mine and is still in working order. Best viewed large.
Thomas Edison stands tall along the St. Clair River just south of the Blue water Bridge and across from the old GTW depot that he once worked at. Everyone knows who Thomas Edison was.. if not go back to school, But what a lot of people don't know is he started out selling his newspaper on the Grand Trunk between Port Huron and Detroit and well from there its all history as you know.
The greater Edison metro area. I remember bicycling through here in the late 70's. It was just a few old buildings, almost a ghost town. Now it looks like it's become a 'cool' place to be.
This is a fixture in my breakfast room. I've been meaning to get a good shot of this for a while. Hope you enjoy it!

An Edison bulb close up reveals what I imagine the internals of a fusion reactor look like. Christmas lights way in the background add a colourful effect.

This photo is of the inside of a lamp. The lamp was long and rectangular, with the light bulb at the bottom and an opening at the top. I place my camera so it looked down into the opening with a bird's eye view. I then played with the levels of the photograph on Adobe Photoshop.
