Governor Markell gave remarks at an economic development announcement at the New Castle Airport.
The Governor joined U.S. Representative John Carney, Delaware River and Bay Authority Executive Director Scott Green and leadership from Frontier Airlines to announce that significant scheduled commercial air service is returning to the First State.
Beginning July 1, Frontier Airlines will offer non-stop flights to Houston, Chicago-Midway, Denver, Tampa and Orlando.

British manufacturer Dunlop Aircraft Tyres has selected Mocksville, North Carolina as the site for its first retreading facility in the United States.
The company, the world’s only specialist aircraft tire manufacturer and retreader, will use the Mocksville location to boost its competitiveness across the Americas, particularly on popular narrow and wide-bodied jet airliners and military aircraft.
