One of the most popular cars of the street racing film “The Fast and the Furious” is the Green Eclipse driven by Paul Walker as “Brian Earl Spilner”. As one of the cars in the memorable quarter mile race against Vin Diesel at the beginning of the film, the car features a variety of custom options including a striking vinyl graphic design by Troy Lee. The car contains a custom Blitz body kit, APR rear wing, roof scoop, twin NOS bottles, and custom interior. Several cars were produced for the film, one of them was even blown to pieces in the gunfight scene where the NOS bottles exploded. As was the case with most of the cars from the first film, the Eclipses were painted different colors for the second film “2 Fast 2 Furious”. Many of them were repainted back to green to promote the film series.

Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse Urban YJ07 OZV is new to services in York and entered service on Tuesday 30th August following a major expansion of the Transdev York network. Formerly Lancashire United (Blackburn Spot-on) 1817, this has now moved to York but retains its fleet number. This is one of several Wright Eclipses moved to York and repainted in the White Rose livery to replace smaller Optare Solos (which were still in Veolia livery), which have now moved to Burnley. The Eclipses will be working much longer routes, such as in this example where 1817 is about to head off the Monks Cross via Haxby, and then the route has now been extended to cover the east section of the former York Pullman's number 55 route towards the University of York, via Heworth, Tang Hall, Osbaldwick, and the University, before continuing towards Fulford Broadway and Heslington Lane. This vehicles is pictured leaving the Kettlestring Lane industrial area of Clifton Moor before heading towards the shopping centre, and is the first photo of this vehicle in the new White Rose livery on Flikr. This livery was created by the Best Impressions design agency, who is also responsible for the distinctive liveries on TrentBarton buses, and for branding on some Stagecoach services.
20/03/2015 eclipse at its highest in Joensuu, Finland. My first ever attempt shooting the sun. Still got my eyes, luckily. ;)
Here’s my eclipse picture. We had about 80% of the sun blocked here in Maryland, and this is what that looked like at its peak.
